Przypada dzisiaj w Kościele IV Niedziela Adwentu.

Pobłogosław mi, o Jezu nowo narodzony i przyjmij tę cześć, jaką Ci niosę z chórem Aniołów śpiewających: Chwała Panu na wysokościach niebieskich! Amen”. Pozwól, aby w zetknięciu z Twoim ogniem moja dusza rozpływała się z miłości, a Twój ogień mnie pochłaniał, spalał, obrócił w popiół tutaj, u Twoich stóp i pozostawił roztopionego z miłości i sławiącego Twoją dobroć i Twoją miłość". "Pan Jezus za pośrednictwem aniołów zwołuje ubogich i prostych pasterzy, aby się im objawić. Woła także mądrych za pośrednictwem ich wiedzy. I wszyscy, poruszeni wewnętrznym wpływem Jego łaski, biegną do Niego, aby Go adorować. A jak szybko my Mu odpowiedzieliśmy? Nazwano Go imieniem: Przedziwny Doradca, Bóg Mocny, Odwieczny Ojciec, Książę Pokoju” (Księga Izajasza 9:5). Święta Maryjo, Matko Zbawiciela, miej nas zawsze w Swej opiece. Święty Józefie, módl się za nami.

Vivat Iesus! Chwała Jezusowi!

This Sunday, we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Advent. In the Gospel today, we hear from the Infancy Narrative of St. Matthew’s Gospel. St. Matthew the Evangelist tells us about the birth of Jesus from the perspective of St. Joseph. In the Gospel today, we hear about a dream of St. Joseph. In this dream, an angel appears to St. Joseph. The angel tells St. Joseph not to be afraid and to take Mary and her unborn Child into his care. The angle says: “for it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they

shall name him Emmanuel, which means "God is with us. "When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home.” Like St. Joseph, we too are invited by God to take Mary and her unborn Child into our home. Many of us have already set up, or will set up, Nativity scenes in our homes. As you set up you Nativity crèche at home, take some time to pray before the Nativity crèche. Look at the Nativity crèche, reflect, and meditate on the Mystery of Christ’s Nativity. As we prepare for the Birth of Christ our Savior in the next few days, I share some prayers and meditations of the Saints that may be helpful as we pray before the Nativity crèche. Ancient Christmas Prayer: O Joseph, proclaim to David, Ancestor of Christ, the wonders of God. You have seen the Virgin with Child, you have glorified with the shepherds, and you have worshipped with the Magi, and an angel appeared to you. Pray to Christ God, to save our souls. Amen.

St. Ambrose Christmas Prayer: O God, You looked on man when he had fallen down into death, and resolved to redeem him by the advent of Your only begotten Son; grant, we implore You, that they who confess His glorious Incarnation may also be admitted to the fellowship of Him their Redeemer; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

St. Irenaeus Christmas Meditation: How could the human race go to God if God had not come to us? How should we free ourselves from our birth into death if we had not been born again according to faith by a new birth generously given by God, thanks to that which came about from the Virgin’s womb?

St. Augustine Christmas Mediation: Lord Jesus, where are you for my sake? In a mean lodging, in a manger. He who rules the stars sucks at a breast. He who speaks in the bosom of the Father is silent in the mother’s lap. But he will speak when he reaches a suitable age, and will fulfill for us the Gospel. For our sakes he will suffer, for us he will die. As an example of our reward, he will rise again. He will ascend into heaven before the eyes of his disciples, and he will come from heaven to judge the world. Behold him lying in the manger; he is reduced to tininess, yet he has not lost anything of himself. He has accepted what was not his, but he remains what he was. Look, we have the infant Christ; let us grow with him. Lord Jesus, make this so. St. Francis de Sales Christmas Meditation: God built the world for the Incarnation of the Son. Divine wisdom foresaw from all eternity that the Word would assume our nature in coming to earth. To accomplish this task, God chose a woman, the most holy Virgin Mary, who brought forth Our Savior. In the Incarnation, God made us see what the human mind could hardly have imagined or understood. So great was God’s love for humanity that in becoming human, God desired to fill us with divinity. God wished to crown us with divine goodness and dignity. God wanted us to be children of God. St. Padre Pio Christmas Meditation: O Christians, so plentiful are the lessons that shine forth from the grotto of Bethlehem! Oh how our hearts should be on fire with love for the one who with such tenderness was made flesh for our sakes! Oh how we should burn with desire to lead the whole world to this lowly cave, refuge of the King of kings, greater than any worldly palace, because it is the throne and dwelling place of God! Let us ask this Divine child to clothe us with humility, because only by means of this virtue can we taste the fullness of this mystery of Divine tenderness. Have a Very Merry and Blessed Christmas! “For to us a child is born. To us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Is 9:6). May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of our Savior, help us with her maternal care and may St. Joseph pray for us!
