One of the joys of traveling together is the number of friendships which can begin or be renewed! You are invited to join

Grayful Spirits for a Gospel Music Concert on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the 5,000 square foot ballroom of the Mesquite

Convention Center in Mesquite, Texas. The concert is organized by the Gospel Music Artists Association. Gospel artists from

across America will be ministering in song…don’t miss it

Enjoy a boxed lunch as you travel by minibus from FUMCG to the Mesquite Convention

Center.

Benefit from a 2 - hour free (love offering basis) concert featuring many talented gospel artists.

Tour is limited to 29 attendees.

No refunds for the tour but you can offer your reservation to another person.

Open to any adult (not limited to 55+) and attendees do not have to be FUMCG members.

How to register for the event?

Complete a tour registration form and pay event fee ($26) preferably by check (no credit card)

and submit to the church office no later than January 25.

You may submit your registration form and payment by mail to First United Methodist Church,

How to register for the event?

What does the event fee of $26 include?

The event fee covers the bus rental, driver’s gratuity, bottled water and boxed dinner to enjoy on the

bus. The concert is free. Your event fee does not include a ‘love offering’ collected at the concert.

If I am unable to attend, can I get a refund?

Regretfully, no. However, you may offer your reservation to another person and they can reimburse

you. This would be your responsibility! Please notify Miriam or Joetta of your cancellation and name

and contact information for your replacement. Your replacement will need to provide emergency

contact information.

Where and when will we meet on January 27 to get on the bus?

Tour check-in will be at the FUMCG’s parking lot located just south of the Grapevine Botanical Gardens

at 4:15pm. Entry to the parking lot is from Ball Street. (Use 436 Ball Street as the address for GPS.)

What will I need on the tour?

Cash for the ‘love offering’ to support the gospel artists who have performed for free.

Credit card, cash or check if you wish to buy performers’ CDs.

Questionable weather

We are rain or shine travelers. If the tour is cancelled by the bus company because of severe weather,

you will be notified by email or phone ASAP on the day of the tour.

Your Grayful Spirits committee is in the process of planning more activities for the coming

year. If you have suggestions for new sights to see or things to do, please contact one of the

We don’t have complete information on the event yet, but hope to know

soon if it will be feasible for our group.
