Amadeus will enable doctors to get the insights they need to help them make accurate diagnoses and provide the optimal treatment” he says. “In addition, patients will increasingly have the information they need to be active participants in their own healthcare.” Amadeus is an open data platform that scales to aggregate and manage different types of health-related data. Orion Health is firing up its global offering by launching Amadeus, a platform that will enable highly personalized healthcare and the implementation of Precision Medicine. CEO Ian McCrae says Amadeus is at the forefront of Precision Medicine – the newest frontier in modern healthcare.

Medtech and CSC team with Orion Health to deliver a world-first precision medicine solution for New Zealand

2

Orion Health December 2015

Orion Health has teamed with Medtech and CSC to deliver a world-leading integrated precision medicine solution for New Zealand. We will work together to join hospital level clinical data with primary care data and personal health data. When this integrated clinical data is linked to genomics, microbiomics, proteomics and other new health information types, it will enable a truly personalised healthcare system for New Zealanders.

This area is ground-breaking and is set to fundamentally change the way healthcare is delivered over the next decade. Because of New Zealand’s high levels of health automation and integration, the country is well poised to lead the world in this exciting transformation in health that is believed will have a similar impact to that of antibiotics, hygiene and immunisation.

Orion Health CEO Ian McCrae says: “The joint vision of Orion Health, Medtech and CSC is to deliver a collective data ecosystem that supports health and social investment. Being able to target people who need support earlier, predicting the risk of people most in need and supporting people across their journey through life – where they live, work and play – would be a game changer for health and social services.” Collaborations and partnerships are fundamental to the success of all three organisations, and this collaboration is one of many that Orion Health, Medtech and CSC are individually involved with.

Orion Health FY16 Interim Results Announcement

Orion Health Awarded DHMSM Contract

3

Orion Health December 2015

On 25 November we announced our FY16 Interim Results. Check out the Interim Results Presentation webcast and Interim Report here For an overview, read the market release here

Orion Health is pleased to be a part of the Leidos Partnership for Defense Health team that has been awarded a contract by the US Department of Defense (DoD) to provide an Electronic Health Record (EHR), off-the-shelf solution, integration activities and deployment across the Military Health System.

The contract, known as the Defense Healthcare Management System Modernisation (DHMSM), is an initiative designed to modernise the military’s healthcare system in a meaningful way, enabling patients and clinicians to capture and share health data that can improve the continuity and quality of care for those who serve and have served their country and their families.

Modernising the medical records of the millions of service members and their families is vitally important to the DoD. DHMSM will continue the DoD’s leadership in utilising the best healthcare technology to help improve medical outcomes and will support the medical readiness of the U.S. military. The DoD has selected the Orion Health Rhapsody

Integration Engine to provide the required link between the DoD’s Cerner EHR System and the civilian facilities that provide care to over 50 percent of military personnel.

We are very proud to be part of the Leidos Partnership for Defense Health. Together, our qualified and experienced team is working with the Department of Defense to deliver a world class interoperable Electronic Health Records Solution for the nation’s armed forces, their families and beneficiaries. We look forward to the work ahead and are committed to improving access to comprehensive healthcare data in order to facilitate improved clinical outcomes for the deserving men and women in uniform.

Orion Health Clinical Solutions for Boots UK and Ireland

Orion Health will deliver an in-store Clinical Solution for Boots stores throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. On September 30th, 2015 we signed a strategic new strategic contract in the United Kingdom with Boots UK Limited, a member of the Walgreens Boots Alliance; the market leading retail pharmacy network.

Our technology will be utilised to provide a solution that supports community pharmacists in the delivery of in-store clinical services, which have previously been provided on paper or in a variety of IT systems. This capability is increasingly relevant as health economies opt to move care closer to the community, to reduce the burden on acute services, and to offer individuals a community based option for many services.

The contract follows a successful pilot program, conducted for a number of months and involving a small number of stores. This

has paved the way for an anticipated rollout to all 2,400 current Boots stores across the UK and Ireland.

Orion Health CEO, Ian McCrae, believes this represents an exciting development for Orion Health as well as the healthcare market in general. “We are excited to enable Boots with the technology to take a more active role in the provision of clinical services in the community, reducing the pressure on already stretched acute facilities”.

Wayne Oxenham, EVP - EMEA for Orion Health, is delighted by the addition of Boots as a new strategic customer as it continues the market momentum in the UK for Orion Health. “Working with a highly respected and recognised brand such as Boots is a great endorsement for the fantastic work our team is doing in the UK. It is also exciting to be delivering our technology in what is a new market segment for Orion Health globally.”

Orion Health December 2015

The Rhapsody Integration Engine 6.2 was officially released on the 10th of November. Rhapsody 6.2 delivers a number of customer focused innovations to help Rhapsody users work smarter. • The Error Queue Defragmentation tool decreases overall disk usage

• New keyboard shortcuts deliver faster navigation

The Java Runtime Environment (JRE) has been upgraded to Java 8 across all Rhapsody components for all supported platforms, achieving an estimated 15% improvement in performance. Numerous usability enhancements were also introduced to the IDE, making this a compelling release overall.

Canada: Care Coordination Tool Can Aid Aging Populations with Chronic Conditions

With British Columbia’s (B.C.) population aging faster than the rest of Canada, the need to support patients with chronic conditions is growing. When Canadians with chronic conditions are unable to have access to a Coordinated Care Plan (CCP), they can find themselves undergoing duplicate testing and are at a higher risk for emergency room visits. Where the average patient only deals with one or two care providers, chronic condition patients need to connect with a multitude of specialists over multiple care settings. In B.C., there is currently a communication gap between providers in community care and hospitals; making it difficult to create CCPs and creating greater expense for the province.

One of the first of its kind in Canada, Ontario recently launched the Care Coordination Tool (CCT) – a provincial solution that connects community care and hospitals electronically. The CCT allows care providers to communicate within the solution and view patient progress to create a ‘living care plan’ that evolves and changes with the needs of the patient. Gary Folker, Orion Health Interim President North America, was in Vancouver this week to debut the tool at the Canada Health Infoway Partnership Conference. Gary was joined by a speaker from Health Links to discuss the new tool currently being rolled out in a session entitled ‘Travelling the Path to Care Coordination’.

Orion Health December 2015

The three day 2015 Health Informatics New Zealand Conference was held in October in Christchurch, at the Wigram Airforce Museum and there was a strong focus on collaboration and connecting. A number of pre-conference workshops were held, one of which was led by our own David Hay in collaboration with HL7. 45 delegates packed in to learn about FHIR for real world problems: recording Allergies & Intolerances.

Health Minister Jonathan Coleman opened the first proper day of the conference, with an overview of the updated health strategy that aims to work towards a more effective and productive health system. This strategy will be supported by a roadmap that sets the direction for the next five years and includes plans for a single, national

Electronic Health Record. Priorities include prevention and wellbeing, more integrated services, support for innovation, better collaboration, new ways of working to reach our most vulnerable, giving every child a healthy start, and ensuring information and services are more accessible. This address was followed by National Health IT Board chairman Murray Milner and director Graeme Osborne outlining how the Health IT board would reflect this strategy through a uniform, standards based, health information environment.

After lunch, our very own Sheryl Jury, Clinical Consultant, presented on Health IT Projects - Everything the Clinical Collaborator knows AFTER they have done one. Once again there was a packed room and plenty of follow up questions to keep Sheryl on her toes.

We are pleased to announce that we have formed our first Junior Development Board in Research and Development. The newly formed Junior Development Board is made up of some of our bright young minds who were nominated for their position on the board.

As Board Members, they will be exposed to business initiatives, decisions, and key decision makers. We believe there will be great value in this new forum for our young thought leaders, where they can contribute their ideas to key business initiatives and make a real difference.

The intention is to rotate board members at set periods to ensure we allow others to engage in board activities. The other nominees will go into a talent pool to feed into each round of board formation. Throughout the year, we will also invite open nominations again from Lines of Business Owners and Product Development Directors.
