Monthly Prayer for Healing
The Healing Mass is usually celebrated on the last Wednesday of each month. Because of the holiday, this month it will be celebrated on December 20
th at 7:45 p.m. in the Church. It
begins with praise, worship, music and songs. An invitation for personal testimonies is made to those in the congregation wishing to thank the Lord for answered prayers and blessings received. Everyone desiring prayer is anointed with blessed oil by Fr. Willy and prayed with individually for their personal intentions. The leadership members of the Charismatic Prayer Group will assist. The Charismatic Prayer Group meets weekly on Wednesdays in the Rectory Conference Room at 7:45 p.m. except for the last Wednesday. Everyone is welcome.

USHERS NEEDED

ROSARY MINISTRY
The Rosary Ministry is in need of Rosary Leaders to lead the congregation in the Sunday Pre-Mass Rosary. If you can offer your assistance, please contact Rosaria Incantalupo at 718-948-0128.
Do not hesitate or be afraid to come forward, but do as Mary did and give your “yes”. Remember, Mary was a teenaged girl when she gave her YES, and Joseph was many years her senior when he too gave his yes. Let Mary speak to your heart.

“WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND” *
During Christmastide you are invited to
“Bethlehem Bosque”,
a gallery woodland behind the altar. There amid tall, fresh cut evergreen trees and wreaths, you will come upon the centerpiece, a graduated, circular stack of poinsettias supporting a most charming image of
The Christmas Christ Child,
surrounded by adoring
Angels of Light.
The layout stands before the backdrop of an exploding nova.
Bring the children to experience this charming installment which is bound to fascinate them.
Of course, the presence of Jesus himself abides in the tabernacle, the “house of bread”, amidst a floral flurry.
The Forum is prepared at this time of year, as usual, by Father Ed. It becomes a setting of wonder for the families who bring their children to that Vigil Mass at 4 p.m. The atmosphere matching the dynamic celebration is experienced there by all.
Holy Child is ever grateful to Father Ed for so generously exercising his stagecraft talent at Christmas and Easter for those extra Masses in the Forum.
Father Travers
