Seniors Kurt Olson and Jace Robinson are creating the senior slide show for this year’s graduation and would like a projector screen. In order to buy this, the senior class organized (with the help of Waddell and Reed) a contest where ten people would get the chance to make a 3-point shot and win or split $100. On the night of the contest, ten people’s tickets were chosen but only one made the shot. Junior Joe Carter was the lucky winner of $100. Qualifying for the state speech championship tournament were Alyssa Rippe, Cameron Nedland, Ethan Merrill, and Aaron Helm. Sophomore Alyssa placed first in original oration with the topic of possession of exotic animals. Senior Aaron Helm also placed first, in ex- temporaneous speaking. Ethan Merrill and Cameron Nedland came in second in impro- vised duet acting. The high team scorer was Annamarie Larue with 29 points. Speech team comes in second She placed third in informative speaking. Jessica Bremer placed fifth in original oration.
