Những người chăn chiên bảo nhau: “Nào ta sang Bê-lem, để xem sự việc đã xảy ra như Chúa đã tỏ cho ta biết.” (Lc 2,15)

Suy niệm: Bầu khí ngày lễ Giáng Sinh rộn ràng khắp nơi với âm vang rộn rã của những ca khúc mùa Giáng Sinh, cùng với đủ mọi sắc mầu tươi vui nơi phố xá, nhà thờ. Những hang đá nơi nhà thờ hay tư gia được trang trí lộng lẫy và xa hoa với những đèn màu nhấp nháy, kim tuyến lấp lánh. Nhưng cánh đồng Bê-lem năm ấy thì khác hẳn. Một đêm như mọi đêm. Vạn vật chìm trong tĩnh lặng. Con người say ngủ trong sự bình thản thờ ơ. Chỉ có những người chăn chiên khiêm hạ mới nhìn thấy ánh sáng kỳ diệu từ trời, và mới nghe được “tin mừng trọng đại”: “Một Đấng Cứu độ đã sinh ra… Người là Đấng Ki-tô, là Đức Chúa.” Ngài đã đến nhà mình, nhưng người nhà chẳng đón nhận (Ga 1,11); chỉ những ai nghèo hèn, bé nhỏ, có quả tim rộng mở mới có thể nhận biết và đón tiếp Ngài.

Mời Bạn: Bạn thấy mình đang đóng vai trò nào trong mầu nhiệm Giáng Sinh: bạn là mục đồng, đạo sĩ, hay bạn là dân chúng, là Hê-rô-đê? Mời bạn mặc lấy tâm tình của các mục đồng vội vã lên đường “xem sự việc xảy ra như Chúa đã tỏ cho biết”, nghĩa là biết khám phá những dấu chỉ sự hiện diện và lời mời gọi của Chúa được bày tỏ cách này hay cách khác trong cuộc sống của mình. Và dưới ánh sáng đó, bạn hãy đáp lại bằng thái độ mau mắn dấn thân phục vụ tha nhân. Hãy cảm nghiệm mối tương quan rất riêng tư giữa bạn và Hài Nhi nằm trong máng cỏ, bạn sẽ cảm nhận một điều gì rất mới trong tâm hồn mình.

Dear Brothers and Sister in Christ, I enthusiastically present to you the Annual Finance Report of our Faith Community of Saint Barbara.

Spiritually, there is an active, growing, dedicated, and committed Faith Community. We have more than 9,000 parish-ioners attending 14 masses each weekend in three languages. I am moved to see many parishioners, especially the young members, who come to our church to pray daily. The parish has more than 80 active groups and associations, plus a Faith Formation Program (in three languages) with over 1,000 children.

Financially, the good news is that the income received from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016, was able to meet the ex-penditures this year. Even some funds were added to the saving and building accounts. Many of our buildings are old, so there is a need for renovation. I would like to use this opportunity to thank all of you for your sacrifices and gener-osity. Together, united in faith, we build up this Faith Community of Saint Barbara. May the Infant Jesus bring you and your loved ones peace, joy, and love this Christmas and throughout the New Year.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo, Les presento con entusiasmo el Informe Anual de Finanzas de nuestra Comunidad de Santa Bárbara. Espiritualmente, existe una Comunidad de Fe activa, creciente, gentil y comprometida. Tenemos más de 9.000 feligreses asistien-do a 14 Misas cada fin de semana en tres idiomas. Me siento conmovido de ver a muchos feligreses, especialmente los miembros jóvenes, que vinieron a nuestra iglesia para orar diariamente. La parroquia tiene más de 80 grupos y asociaciones activas, ade-más de un Programa de Formación de Fe (en tres idiomas) con más de 1.000 niños inscritos. Financieramente, la buena noticia es que los ingresos recibidos desde el 1ro de julio de 2015 al 30 de junio de 2016, fueron capaces de cubrir los gastos de este año. Incluso algunos fondos se agregaron a las cuentas de ahorro y construcción. Muchos de nuestros edificios son viejos, así que hay una necesidad de ser renovado. Quisiera aprovechar esta oportunidad para agradecer a todos ustedes por su sacrificio y generosidad. Juntos, unidos en la fe, edificamos esta Comunidad de Santa Bárbara. Que el Niño Jesús les traiga a ustedes y a sus seres queridos paz, alegría y amor en Navidad y durante el Año Nuevo.

Tôi rất phấn khởi trình bày với quý Ông Bà Anh Chị Em về Báo Cáo Tài Chánh Hằng Năm của Cộng Đoàn Đức Tin của giáo xứ St. Barbara.

Về tâm linh, đây là một Cộng Đoàn Đức Tin năng động, phát triển, tinh tế, và nhiệt tình. Chúng ta có hơn 9,000 tín hữu tham dự 14 lễ mỗi cuối tuần bằng ba ngôn ngữ. Tôi rất xúc động nhìn thấy nhiều tín hữu, đặc biệt các bạn trẻ, đi đến nhà thờ cầu nguyện mỗi ngày. Giáo xứ có hơn 80 nhóm và đoàn thể sinh hoạt, cộng với một Chương Trình Đào Tạo Đức Tin bằng ba ngôn ngữ với trên 1,000 con em.

Về tài chánh, có tin vui là số tiền nhận được từ ngày 1 tháng 7, 2015 đến ngày 30 tháng 6, 2016, đã có thể đủ chi tiêu cho năm nay. Kể cả một số ngân khoản đã được thêm vào quỹ tiết kiệm và sửa sang nhà cửa. Nhiều ngôi nhà của chúng ta đã cũ kỹ, cần phải được tân trang. Tôi muốn dùng cơ hội này để cám ơn sự hy sinh và lòng quảng đại của tất cả quý Ông Bà Anh Chị Em. Cùng nhau hiệp nhất trong đức tin, chúng ta xây dựng Cộng Đoàn Đức Tin của giáo xứ St. Barbara.

Nguyện xin Chúa Hài Đồng ban bình an, niềm vui và tình yêu thương cho quý Ông Bà Anh Chị Em và gia quyến suốt Mùa Giáng Sinh và Năm Mới.

Comunidad Hispana PROCESIÓN PRO-VIDA DE VELAS

Miercoles DICIEMBRE 28, 2016 LA FIESTA DE LOS SANTOS INOCENTES

La procesión anual Pro-Vida de velas será el miercoles, 28 de Diciembre, co-mo parte del la celebración de la Fiesta

de los Santos Inocentes. La procesión comenzará en la Ig-lesia Bautista Trinity en la esquina de Fairview y Baker en Costa Mesa, a las 7:00pm (favor de empezar a reunirse an-tes de las 6:45pm). La Guardia de Colores de los Caballe-ros de Colón encabezará la procesión.

Se dirá el rosario durante la caminata en la Calle Baker con rumbo a la Iglesia de San Juan Bautista (1015 Baker), para asistir a la Misa que será a las 7:30pm. Por favor traigan sus propias velas. Regalos para bebé para el Centro de Vida pueden ser traidos al altar durante el ofertorio. Habrá refrescos en el salon de la Iglesia después de Misa. Ustedes pueden usar el estacionamiento de la Iglesia de San Juan Bautista y caminar a la esquina de Fairview y Baker para la procesión. En esta forma su carro estará dis-ponible después de la Misa.

¿Han estado viviendo en unión libre por muchos años? ¿Desean que Dios bendiga su hogar con el Sacramento del Matri-monio? ¿Están casados únicamente por el civil?, ¿Se casaron en una capilla? Tendremos bodas comunitarias el 17 de Junio 2017 a las 12:00pm, para las parejas de hombre y mujer que quieran casarse por la igle-sia. El programa ayuda a explorar las actitudes, sentimientos y necesida-des en: El área sexual, área financiera, educación de los hijos, fami-lia y política.

Las clases de preparación serán los días jueves de 7:00 – 8:30 pm en el Salón de Música (3-5), La primera clase será el 23 de Febrero 2017. Retiro de preparación 4 de Febrero 2017.

Documentos que necesitan presentar al equipo para casarse por la iglesia católica para el novio y la novia son: 1) Copia de bautismo reciente. Debe de tener la fecha del año

2017. Si tiene la fecha original del día del bautismo no será aceptado, debe traer la fecha del 2017.

2) Boleta de primera comunión y confirmación. 3) Copia de la licencia de su matrimonio civil. 4) Dos testigos mayores de edad para el novio y dos para la novia. 5) Que no hayan sido casados por la iglesia anteriormente. 6) Cupo limitado.
