Welcome from the Chair Dear Colleagues,
This newsletter, sponsored by the Faculty Research and Devel-
opment Committee, highlights the research and scholarship
accomplishments of the faculty of the College of Educa-
tion. We are proud of the broad range of conference presenta-
tions as well as the variety of publications in a plethora of jour-
nals.
For the past two years we have created an ongoing celebration
of our research that occurs in a COE spring meeting. On
March 31st, we are excited to host a sharing of research by
both France Merrick Scholars and others from the College of
Education. This will include both works-in-progress as well as
completed projects. In addition, we invite faculty of the COE to
consider sponsoring a “critical conversation” table where you
will lead a discussion of a relevant topic in education based on
your work in the field as a practitioner.
A special thank you to Hae Kyoung Kim for editing the news-
letter and to Jennifer Dippel for making Campus Labs available
for data collection. To the entire faculty of the COE-- we wish
you happy holidays and thank you for your dedication to re-
search, scholarship, and sharing best practices of the field with
colleagues.
