Thank you Mr. Chairperson for taking the initiative to listen to my reply speech. Again, good morning to the chairperson, honourable judges, my smartly dressed-up governments, teachers, timekeepers and the members of the floor. Today, I would like to give a prompt briefing on all three points that we have presented not long ago. My first point is the stark contrast between the arrogance or the overconfidence of singles that lead them into financial difficulties and the selfless consideration of the others opinions and compromises that save married couples from most financial difficulties. The poverty rate for singles in recent years is higher than that of the married couples. Having parents, relatives and a circle of friends is a universal yet valuable asset for everyone in general; and obtaining advice on any perplexing matter from these people is certainly an inseparable and precious part of it Nevertheless, singles can be considered to be alone because on the whole, they themselves play the most significant role in their own independent lives rather than others. Thus, it is just principally them in their lives and because they are so accustomed to doing things on their own and in their own style, they are less likely to accept useful advice and so, might fail to recognize fallacies in their own thinking which would lead them to make unsound decisions. These decisions would bring about those unforeseen financial difficulties. For married couples, they consider each others feelings and opinions and make compromisesthereby making them less selfish and more inclined to look at the big picture of the financial issues. Therefore, the financial solution obtained would be more all-encompassing. Next, population ageing which it is already happening, may worsen at a faster pace. The increase in share of elderly in the total population proves to be a long-term burden which the government has no choice but to shoulder. Because most elderly do not work and therefore do not have an income, they have a lot less or nothing to contribute in terms of labour and capital to the economy. Consequently, the best solution would be to increase the fertility rate. As the infants develop into fully-fledged capable adults, they would assail the working market with numbers more than sufficient enough to replace the aged elderly that had left it, thus preventing the share of elderly in the nations population from skyrocketing. The increase in economic growth would then become more prominent. Furthermore, marriage makes married couples life to be more complete. In a marriage based on love and not duty, where the chances of divorce are not likely, love not only blossoms and develops, it strengthens. Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is the perfect example. After marrying in Westminster Abbey, she is leading someone elses life, a princess life which rarely has any freedom compare to her previously ordinary life. In exchange for this marriage with Prince William, Kate gives away largely her personal lifeit is no longer her own welfare she is caring about but the general publics. Nevertheless, despite all the sacrifices, she is exchanging them for a greater spiritual happiness because she can be together with the person she loves for life. In a nutshell, marriage is one of the beauties in our life. As Raymond Hull once said, All marriages are happy. It is the living together afterward that causes all the trouble. As it is proven, married couples live a more complete life and a happy life compared to the singles. Sharing sad and happy experiences is the key to relieving stress and to getting motivated to achieve daily goals. With the three main points briefly summarized in support of marriage, we as the opposition team, decline the motion that states Being single is better than getting married. It is indeed better to get married than being single. I rest my case.
