He was born in Greenpoint 54 years ago and was employed as a junior accountant for 38 years by the Consolidated Edi- son Company. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Reliance Lodge No. 776, F. & A. M., and the Con Edison Masonic Square Club. Masonic service of Reliance Lodge No. 776, F. & A, M„ were Monday, and religious service was held on Tuesday, with the Rev. Paul Wancura of the Epis- copal Church of the Ascension officiating. The funeral took place Wed- nesday, Sept. 21, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. resident of Greenpoint for many years, died Sunday at the age of 72 after a long illness. David A. Shand David A. Shand of 78 Free­

man street, died suddenly on Saturday at Mastic Beach. He was born in Greenpoint 54 years ago and was employed as a junior accountant for 38 years by the Consolidated Edi­son Company.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Reliance Lodge No. 776, F. & A. M., and the Con Edison Masonic Square Club.

Masonic service of Reliance Lodge No. 776, F. & A, M„ were Monday, and religious service was held on Tuesday, with the Rev. Paul Wancura of the Epis­copal Church of the Ascension officiating.

The funeral took place Wed­nesday, Sept. 21, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

resident of Greenpoint for many years, died Sunday at the age of 72 after a long illness.

Mr. Benedict was proprietor of the Evergreen Plumbing Company at 1037 Manhattan avenue, and a former owner of a tavern at Eckford street and Norman avenue.

Surviving are two daughters, Anna Benedict and P a u l i n e Hawkins; a son, John Benedict Jr., and two grandchildren.

The funeral took place Thurs­day from a funeral home in Valley Stream. Burial followed in Rockville Cemetery, Lyn brook.

Mr. Benedict was in the plumbing business in Green point for 47 years.

William F. Foley William F. Foley of Green­

point died Saturday, Sept. 17. He, was a veteran of World

War II and is survived by his wife, A n̂na Marie; two broth­ers, John and George, and a sis-

jter, Helen Breitenback. The funeral took place Wed­

nesday from the Arthur Baver­stoek & Son Funeral Home, 1010 Lorimer street. A requiem mass was offered in St. Anthony of Padua Roman C a t h o l i c Church and burial followed in Long Island National Cemetery.

Charles J. Ratigan Charles J. Ratigan of 136

Bayard street, a ship engineer, died Sept, 1. He was born in Brooklyn and lived here for the past 40 years.

Surviving are his wife, Eliza­beth; two sons, Charles J.,, a Suffolk County policeman, and Robert; a daughter, Mrs. Fran­ces Schuster of Maspeth, and] three grandchildren.

The funeral took place Sept. 6 from the Arthur Baverstoek & Son Funeral Home, 1010 Lorimer street. A requiem mass was offered in St. Alphonsus' Roman Catholic Church and burial followed in St. Charles' Cemetery.

a native of Greenpoint, died Monday.

jShe was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Anthony of Padua Roman C a t h o l i c Church and the Legion of Mary, and a member of the teaching staff of St. Anthony's school for over 25 years.

Wife of the late Edward Lindsay, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Maureen Dris-roll and Mm Edwina Stanley j a sister, Mrs. Lillian linger; six brothers, William, John, Walter Harold, Robert and Charles Stillwaggon, and six grandchil­dren.

The funeral took place at 10 A. M. Thursday from' the Edward A. Dowling Funeral Home, 92 Norman avenue. A requiem mass was offered in St, Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church and burial fol­lowed in Calvary Cemetery.

Philip Kronenberger Philip Kronenberger, a resi­

dent of Greenpoint until three and a half years ago and a re­tired employe of the Eberhard Faber Pencil Company, died on September 17 at his home in Mayeta, N. J.

Surviving are his wife, Eliza­beth Kronenberger, and two brothers, John and Fred.

The funeral took place at 10:30 A. M. Tuesday from the Arthur Baverstoek and Son Funeral Home at 1010 Lorimer street.

Jennie Colasanto Jennie Colasanto of 241 Nas­

sau avenue, died Sept. 21. She was born in Italy and lived for 55 years in Greenpoint.

Wife of the late Patrick Col-asanta, she is survived by a daughter Rose Dambola, and a son, Louis, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The body will be at the Ever­green Funeral Home, 131 Nas­sau avenue, until 8 A. M. Sat­urday. A requiem mass will be offered at 8:30 A. M. in St. Francis de Paola Roman Cath-| olic Church and burial will fol­low in Calvary Cemetery.

Ruth Wollherr Services were held Sunday at

the Trebor Fueral Home for Ruth Wollherr of 265 Eckford street, who died Sept. 16. The Rev. John Huneke, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church offici­ated.

The funeral took place Sept. 19. Burial followed in Lutheran | Cemetery. ,

Miss Wollherr was bom in Greenpoint 53 years ago and died after a brief illness. She lived here all her life and was a member of St. John's Luth­eran Church.

A daughter of the late Mrs.j Caroline Wollherr, she is sur­vived by three sisters, Mary Wollherr, Mrs. Sue Olsen and Mrs. Catherine Gaines, and a brother, Joseph.

George R. Pustay George R. Pustay, 28, of up­

state Waterford, died Sept. 12 at St. Claire's Hospital, Sche­nectady.

A salesman for a glass com­pany, Mr. Pustay was born in Greenpoint and was the son of Andrew and Mary Jusko Pustay of Bayside, formerly of Green street.

Also 'surviving are his widow, the former Patricia E. Mc-Grath; a daughter, Mary, and two sons, Joseph and George Pustay Jr.

HE WAS a member of St. Elias Catholic Church on Kent street until six years ago when he moved upstate, and was a member of the Holy Name So­ciety of St. Elias and the Brooklyn Sokols.

The funeral took place from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Troy, of which he was a communicant.

A brother, Andrew Pustay, i also resides in Bayside.
