health growth. Through experiencing death, it helps
experiencer to evaluate their life in a greater depth, and
also helps them to see life much objectively. Thus, moti-
vating people to have a proper attitude to life.

Ikon Gallery is a revitalized
gothic-style building that was pre-

building are the external lift and staircase, which be-
came the main circulation for Ikon
Gallery.
The first and second floor are used
for galleries and workshops, while
cafe and shop are situated in the
ground floor. Death & Life Museum

Program in the Death & Life Museum
The Death & Life Experiential Museum provides a virtual time-travelling experience, it “fast-forwards”
the visitors’ life to the end of their life, and put them at a third-party’s view of the whole timeline of their life. As it would
affect people’s thinking directly, this museum would therefore be a much effective way of encouraging people to appreciate their life.
Tone of the journey
Design Concept 1
Why Bubbles?
The fragileness of life
The unpredictable of death
Life is beautiful, although it is short
concept inspiration
There are many forms that can be
found in bubbles.
The reflection of bubble in Ikon gallery
Design Concept 2
Antony Gormley, Blind Light, 2007
Death is unforeseenable and uncertain, just like a foggy
night. When vision is blurred, people walk without direction and great
uncertainty.
