It is important to stress that the chance of being in contact with the virus is currently low in the Isle of Man. As a precaution, particularly at this time of year when coughs, colds and flu symptoms are common, we are encouraging children to follow hand washing procedures in line with the advice given and being mindful when they cough and sneeze to “catch it, bin it, kill it”. Children are being asked to wash their hands more regularly, including when they arrive at school and leave for home at the end of the day. We have increased the number of times door handles and other areas are cleaned throughout the day and Mr Shepherd is ensuring that the supplies of soap, paper towels and tissues are plentiful. We continue to safeguard our pupils and staff as much as possible from infection, as is our usual practice at this time of year, and are grateful for your support at home.
