COMPARISON OF ADJECTIVES

The comparative degree (сравнительная степень) образуется с помощью суффикса –er или специального слова more

Односложные прилагательные образуют сравнительную степень с помощью суффикса -er (old- older, nice-nicer, slow-slower, cheap -cheaper)

Прилагательные, состоящие из двух, трех и более слогов, образуют сравнительную степень с помощью слова more (careful- more careful, expensive- more expensive, interesting- more interesting)

big bigger – the biggest

easy easier – the easiest

nice nicer – the nicest
