Dear Blackhawks Convention Attendee,

On behalf of the Chicago Blackhawks, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the eighth annual Blackhawks Convention. We are excited to share this weekend with you in honoring the team’s third Stanley Cup championship in the last six years. Last season produced plenty of amazing memories, and many of you were there to witness milestones on and off the ice. One month ago, in front of a packed United Center—our 329th consecutive sellout—captain Jonathan Toews lifted the Stanley Cup on home ice for the first time since 1938, marking an historic event that we were proud to share with you. This weekend, we continue that celebration, with players on hand who represent the organization’s past, present and future. Thank you for choosing to spend this weekend with us. As always, our “One Goal” is to not only continue bringing trophies and championships back to the city of Chicago, but also to build lasting bonds between the team, the fans and the city. Your continued loyalty and passion is deeply appreciated.

Sincerely,

John F. McDonoughPresident & CEO, Chicago Blackhawks

W. Rockwell WirtzChairman, Chicago Blackhawks

BLACKHAWKS COMBINE: SALON A (NW HALL)Test your hockey skills by participating in the Blackhawks Combine! The Combine features five different challenging activities that measure your performance. Upon completing all steps of the Combine, you will be given your very own Blackhawks Player Card that will display all of your results! See the steps below for more details:

STEP 1: Height

STEP 2: Agility: How quick are you on your toes? We will test your agility to see how fast you can race through the roped ladders while maintaining high knees.

STEP 3: Long Jump: We hope you brought your track and field skills with you, because this long jump is not a challenge to underestimate.

STEP 4: Accuracy: Accuracy can often be more important than power. Step onto the ice to see if you’re going to be the next great sniper in the NHL. You will be given four pucks, and your goal will be to hit each of the four targets in front of you. Let your shots fly and see just how accurate you can be.

STEP 5: Stick-handling: Do you have the stick-handling skills of Patrick Kane? Have a go at this challenge to see how you compare. This timed element will test your stick-handling skills as you navigate the obstacle course, changing between forehand and backhand. Post the fastest time and claim bragging rights!

INTERACTIVE GAMES: SALON A (NW HALL)TOP SHOTDo you have what it takes to be a top shot? Step onto the ice and test your shooting skills to find out! You will have 30 seconds to show us your best wrist shot in this rapid-fire shooting game. The electronic hockey goal displays nine targets; one target at a time will light up at random, and each lit target you hit counts as a goal. Stay on your toes, as the light will constantly be bouncing from target to target!

THE WALLLive out your dream of being in net as you make the game-saving stop! Pad up and step between the pipes as pucks begin to fly at you. The Wall will require you to concentrate and fight to make those spectacular glove saves or athletic kick saves.

USA SLED HOCKEYSled hockey is no skate in the park. See for yourself just how challenging this sport is! You’ll be given the chance to sit in a sled while testing your balance and accuracy skills by shooting at a target. Stop by this exhibit on Saturday between 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. for a chance to meet gold medal Paralympic athletes Brody Roybal and Kevin McKee.

BLACKHAWKS YOUTH HOCKEY RINK: SALON A (NW HALL)Grab a stick and buckle your chin strap as you step onto our 62’ by 40’ replica hockey rink. Whether you’re being tested with drills from the Blackhawks coaching staff or playing a game of drop-in hockey with your friends, this interactive element is sure to be a fan favorite!
