Dear AMA District 17 Participant,

We hope to see you at the annual District 17 Awards Banquet on February 1st, 2020 at Pitsticks Pavilion on Rte. 23 North of Ottawa, Illinois. It’s that time of year again. Enclosed is your 2019 District 17 Membership Application, Rule Change Letter and Awards Banquet ticket order information.

Remember: All District 17 residents, riding DSCC Off-Road Events, must have or have ap-plied for, a current DSCC Rider Membership Card. Being a Pro-Am rider doesn’t matter in this process. Family Member discount! With a paid adult membership in the SAME envelope from the

SAME address, we are offering a 5.00 discount for all kids under the age of 18 !

GET YOUR CARD EARLY! Apply for your membership card as soon as you receive

the renewal application. Do not wait until you go to the first event of the season. The fee is now $20 until March 1, 2020, then it increases to $25. save 5.00 !!! Not to mention sav-ing time at sign up and the long lines. YOU CAN DO IT ALL ONLINE IF YOU WISH AS WELL!! Go to the website and follow the instructions, fast easy, and works great!

MINORS! Fill out the AMA Annual release form and get it notarized. NO LONGER do you

have to have the application Notarized! That way you avoid all the extra paper work on race day! The AMA Annual release is included in this packet. You can mail it to use with your app, or mail that to AMA directly.

Cards may not be processed until Mid-end of January. If you don’t receive your card in a timely matter please contact the card Processor (Patty Ward), Please

give it til the end of January at least. (Check your points early in the season!!! Waiting till Late in the season could jeopardize your

points!!

You must ride with the number assigned to you by the District, (on your number plates).

FILL OUT THE MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION COMPLETELY!!

PROVIDE ALL OF THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND SIGN THE APPLICATION.

PRINT CLEARLY!!!! This will help your application to go through faster.

Cycle USA will be doing a event guide and mailer this season, our plan is to offer a digital report-ing process for the riders to see through out the season. Stay tuned as we will post on the Face book page and District website as this gets put together. District 17 Scholarship program. All information is on the website.

Rule Changes that were approved:

General: (applies to all types)

Proper notification of date or location change must be submitted to the proper direc-tor or appropriate board member a minimum of 10 days prior to the event (non-weather related). Failure to do so may result in district points being stripped for the event or probation for the club/promoter. A second offense will result in club/promoter suspension from the district.

Dirt Track:

400 Quad class

Add class 0-200 2 stroke/ 0-400 4 stroke quad 13yrs old and up

Enduro: One AA rider per minute/row on all available minutes/rows. During a sprint enduro a rider must complete the first test and or section before proceeding to other tests and or sections for the day. Unless otherwise noted/posted prior to the start of the event by the club.

ATTENTION PARENTS and Guardians:

If you are parents of a minor child who is planning to race. GET THE AMA Annual Release done! Do this be-

cause it’s required by the AMA/ insurance that BOTH parents sign the release, if you are a family that doesn’t go racing together this could be an issue. Get the annual card and you are good to go. If you are a sole custody par-ent or guardian it still is a great idea to get this form sent in.
