The Brotherhood will have a holiday steak dinner on Saturday, December
2nd at 1:00pm. This will take the place of our November & December breakfast. The
monthly scheduled brotherhood breakfast will start back on the fourth Sunday of January 2018.

**The office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, December 25th
and 26th for the Christmas Holidays and on Monday, January 1st for
New Years Day.
**There will be no Services or Activities on Sunday, December 31st in
observance of New Year’s Eve.
**Remember if you are wanting to use the Great Room for any reasons,
please call the church office at least 30 days prior. It will then be taken
to Church Council for approval.
**Do not forget to turn in receipts to the front office from Triangle,
Morgan Hardware and gas.

On Sunday, December 24th and Sunday , December 31st We will have regular AM services including Sunday School. On
December 24th, we will have the Candlelight Communion service at 5 pm and on December 31st, all PM services will be
cancelled. The Church office will be closed on Monday & Tuesday, December 25th and 26th and on Monday, January 1st.
The WMU invites everyone to the Lottie Moon Salad Supper on Wednesday, Dec 6th at 6 pm. To our delight,
Pastor Jason and Michaela will be our missionary speakers. So bring your favorite salad and join us for a
time of church-wide fellowship. **********************************************************
We would like to thank everyone for all the help with the Operation Christmas Child boxes. With you help, 100 boxes were sent to spread God’s love around
the world. *********************************************************
Women’s Step Study Beginning January 4th and will meet every Thursday from

In January 2018 at our Monthly Business Meeting, a change to the church constitution will considered and
place before the meeting. The proposed change will add the following statement under Church Council: “& The directors of all auxiliary organizations”

beginning of the Christian year. Some of the reasons for observing this season:
-To prepare for the coming of the Messiah. -To place Christ in the center of
Christmas. -To foster closer family ties.

Children’s Ministry
We’re going to the movies!! Tuesday, December 12th, we will be going to West Cinema in Cedartown to see “The Grinch That
Stole Christmas”. The movie is only $2 and the kids need money for concessions. Movie starts at 6 but we will meet in the Great Room at 5 pm so we can arrive early to buy snacks.
We should be back around 8:15 pm *************************************************
Youth Ministry
This month is filled with lots of great fun and activities you will not want to miss out on. Wednesday nights are packed with
lots of different stuff.
• Wednesday, Dec 6th, we will come together as a church and hear Jason & Michaela share their mission trips and
• kick-off our church wide Lottie Moon Christmas offering.
• Wednesday, Dec. 13th, we will go shopping for our mission project. This year we are buying gifts for a boy and a girl
in DFACS. More info to follow.
• Wednesday, Dec. 20th, we are making cookies for our shut-ins of the church. After we cook the cookies, we will
deliver them.
• Wednesday, Dec. 27th, Movie and dinner out. Time and movie to be announce soon.
Youth Wide Progressive Christmas Party
Sunday, December 10th We will meet at the Youth House at 5 pm for a fun
evening of fellowship. We will end the night with a gift exchange so bring your best $10 gift and let’s see who ends up
with what.
New Year’s Eve Party at Mickey’s Kicks off at 8 pm and we will celebrate the New Year. Parents will need to pick you by 12;30 am. We will have food and games.
