Doha is emerging as the sporting capital of the GCC and with the World Cup in 2022, all eyes will be on Qatar. Sport is a key pillar of the Smart Nation Strategy and the Government of Qatar recognise that Sporting Mega Events are being transformed by technology in two ways. Technology enables a new level of sports performance for athletes through equipment and connected health devices. At the same time, IoT for stadia and in stadium entertainment create an augmented event experience for fans.
