The GreenHouse is a Christian Community Enrichment Center located in theGardenland/Northgate neighborhood of Sacramento, California. We offer after-schooltutoring, mentoring, summer camp, youth groups, leadership development, and skill-building workshops to under-resourced youth. Our mission is to cultivate a thriving

community by nurturing the emotional, spiritual, intellectual, and physicaldevelopment of our youth and inspiring them to grow to their full potential.

FOCUS & SCOPEEssential duties and responsibilities, i.e. those which are basic, necessary, and anintegral part of the job, are indicated below.

Develop, coordinate, implement and oversee the Adventure Zone summer daycamp.Develop and nurture relationships with children.Manage AmeriCorps VISTA volunteers and other volunteers, encouraging themto use their gifts.Plan and implement a day camp theme, Vacation Bible School activities, anddaily activities (games, crafts, singing)Implement the USDA Free Summer Lunch Program.Collaborate with other Adventure Zone staff and with staff from other agenciesas needed.Work with the Director of Elementary Programs to plan and implement fieldtrips in the community.Assist in the planning and implementation of an End of the SummerCelebrationSupport and contribute to a safe and healthy work environment.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:Education: High school diploma; college preferred.

Experience &Industry Expertise :

1 year working in childrens or youth ministry in an urbansetting preferred
