Academic CampsAcademic camps are a wonderful way to enhance your child's love of learning while focusing on a specific subject. From math and robotics to literature and creative writing, we have something for every student. Campers work independently and in small groups to apply real-life experiences to lessons learned in the classroom.

Specialty CampsOur specialty camps are packed with hands-on activities that offer experiences for campers to discover new skills and talents. Whatever your child's interests are, we have fun and unique activities for them to try!

Sports CampsOur rigorous sports camp promotes skill building, exposes children to new activities and helps build healthy exercise habits. We bring sports specialists from around the area to help each camper improve, practice and play each sport.

STEM PBL (Project Based Learning) UnitsThese STEM Units are part of our Brighton 5th - 8th grade camp! Please note that the Drone Aviation units are each 2-week long camps.

Drone AviationThe Drone Aviation STEM unit challenges students to use small drones to solve problems. Students will a drone to inspect difficult-to-reach areas within the school, develop and present a drone-security solution, and even simulate potential avalanche locations at a new ski resort. These camps are 2 weeks long!

Brighton School of Wizardry We invite Harry Potter fans to spend a week together exploring J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world. All students are welcome whether they are new to the series or have read every book/seen every movie! Students will be able to experience things from the series such as choosing a wand, being sorted into their house by the sorting hat, attending a potions and herbology class, participating in Quidditch practice and MUCH MORE!.

Before teaching kindergarten at Brighton Deanna taught at our sister school, Evergreen Academy Elementary, for 3 years. She has 10 years of experience working with children in Preschool through Elementary, as well as, Summer Camp programs. Deanna has led Harry Potter camps before and they have always been a huge success!

Kindergarten Prep with Anissa RoshanzaerGive your child a jump-start to kindergarten by enrolling in our K Prep program. We work on sharpening literacy and math skills, while also providing opportunities for your child to practice kindergarten etiquette through authentic play and collaborative learning. Students have a blast engaging in inquiry-based, hands-on activities that build upon foundational skills, such as science and engineering.

Academic Bridge Camp with R.J. RongcalOur Academic Bridge Camp helps students get back into the swing of traditional school with fun and engaging lessons run by certified teachers. Through reading and writing, students build vocabulary and comprehension skills as they explore important social-emotional themes such as such as friendship, forgiveness and standing up for others. Students also engage in STEM activities with an emphasis on deep understanding, strategic practice and technology integration.

About the teacher: R.J. has been teaching for over ten years, and he currently teaches 2nd grade at Brighton School. In his free time he enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and playing guitar. He has been described as easy-going and even keeled, but not boring!"

About the teacher: Anissa Roshanzaer has recently started subbing at Brighton. Anissa brings expertise along with her multi-subject teaching credential. She has a strong passion for learning and deception to her students. In her free time, Anissa enjoys hiking around the Pacific Northwest, baking, and learning new things.

About the teacher: Nancy Thaler has been teaching Middle School Language Arts at Brighton since January 2016. Prior to that, she taught middle school and high school in Ohio. She LOVES writing and LOVES helping kids strengthen their writing skills. She looks forward to working with kids over the summer who want to flex their creativity muscles!

In this camp, we will be brainstorming, drafting, illustrating, and publishing our own books of stories! We will practice bringing enthusiasm and silliness to our stories, along with some practical skills. In addition to writing, we will also make time for playing fun vocabulary games and sharing our work out loud (but only if we choose!)

This camp is for students entering grades 6-8 who would like to brush up on basic grammar, spelling, or punctuation skills. Each day, we will cover a topic and apply a few skills in a short piece of fiction or personal writing. Skills covered include: capitalization and commas overview, commonly misspelled or misused words, sentences: from simple to complex, writing dialogue for characters: rules, regulations, and striving for realism. In addition to writing each day, we will also play some games that help us practice what we are learning.

Brighton Basketball AcademyA week of BASKETBALL where campers will focus on shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding, and defense. Emersion in the sport will be fun for all ability levels. Campers receive a basketball on their last day of camp.

Up To Bat With Coach LoganJoin Coach Logan and special guest Coach Brandon for a week of hitting, fielding, base running, team play and more! Campers will receive a Brighton baseball cap at the end of the week.

Sun & ScrimmageJoin Coach Logan for a week of FLAG FOOTBALL! Campers will establish a better understanding of the game, technical and tactical fundamental skills. Goal GetterCoach Logan, uses a positive and passionate coaching technique to help campers with ball control, passing, positioning, stamina, dribbling, shooting, and attitude. Campers will receive a soccer ball at the end of the week.

Coach Logan, a P.E. teacher at Brighton has a wide range of coaching experience in Basketball, Baseball, Flag Football, and Soccer. Sports are a huge passion of Logan’s where he builds self-confidence and appreciation of the game.
