Verb Tenses TableTense Example Function

Verb Tenses Make sure your tense of the verb matches the
structure of the sentence. Was/would/were = past. Is/are = present, will =
future. Has/have = Present perfect, had = Past perfect S verbs. When the subject is “he, she, or it” and it
is simple present.

Gerunds vs Infinitive (Idioms)
Gerunds come from verbs but function as nouns and always ends with –ing. Guideline: used after prepositions Before leaving, I want to say goodbye. Ameer loves walking in the street.
Infinitives are the “to + base” form of the verb. Guideline: follow most adjectives I want to live! It was tedious to run home.
When you use them is based on how English is properly said (Idioms)
