We at DaWanda, the online marketplace for unique and handmade items, are delighted to present our new Lookbook for Summer 2011.

Home to over 95,000 designers and creatives, DaWanda offers an alternative to the ordinary online shopping experience. Every purchase on DaWanda comes with the personal story of the item’s creation, and the designer behind it. Sellers and buyers are in direct contact with each other throughout the pur-chase process, in a marketplace full of unique and

limited-edition items made with love, many of which can be personalized to meet individual needs. Without the exuberant originality, dedication and talent of our designers, DaWanda would not be what it is today: the biggest online marketplace for handmade items in Europe.

For our ‘Lovebook’ we hunted high and low to fi nd 170 of the loveliest products from the 1 million-plus cur-rently available to purchase on DaWanda. Like comic-chic fascinators from Janine Basil, custom wedding clutches from Red Ruby Rose, ethical fashion from Ken Panda and hand-carved wooden phone cases from Black Gizmo, to name but a few.

MiMaMeise is Sandra Lörch and Tom Oehne from Hamburg, Ger-many. Trained as a fl orist and a musician respectively, they sell whimsical and vintage-inspired jewellery in their online store. In creating necklaces, rings and brooches, the couple have found a way to give up their day jobs and devote themselves entirely to their creative dream.

OptimisticLiving is a Copenhagen-based design company owned by Ieva Glasius-Nyborg, a Lithuanian born designer who decided to create something different from ordinary wall decor.
