DAVID & HEIDI RACKE NOVEMBER, 2014 Urubamba, Peru The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore, my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song I will praise Him. Ps.28:7 It is summer here and we are learning more about the culture and ways of the people here in Urubamba. We have been here almost a year and we are learning to love the people and this country. Last Saturday was the last ladies Bible study until March. Five ladies came from a church about a half an hour away to be with us. The group is growing, and every meeting we have visitors who do not regularly attend church. We spent 2 months teaching about raising our children to love God. The ladies were very interested in this theme and had many questions. Pray for Rosi who has been coming faithfully and is not a Christian. We continue the Bible club in Yanahuara. The children who come are faithful, but the place we are meeting is not close to the homes, so we don’t have more than 12 children. Pray that we would be led by the Lord to make contacts with the people in this town and that God would open doors as to what He would have us accomplish in this area. For the last 3 weeks, David has been teaching a counseling course in the seminary. Several of the seminary students are helping with the Bible club in Yanahuara.

Two weeks ago, Emily Josephine was born to our oldest daughter, Beth and her husband, Samuel. She is healthy and a joy to us. She weighed 6.5 lbs.

The primary and high school will end in December, and it is time for Christmas programs and graduation. Pray for Jeremy, one of the high school students, that needs to understand how to be saved. (Jeremy is on the far right)
