› objective Create a full bleed brochure with text wrap and high quality images

› process I developed an idea for a company then created the logo in Illustrator. I then took the logo into InDesign and began to work through the challenges of creating a sail shaped brochure. The solution I came up with was sail shaped flaps folding into a hex-ogonal center panel.

Our cambered sails have 1-5 camber inducers to help to hold a rigid

airfoil, for better speed and stability. These light and easy to

use sails feels great as you track the biggest

waves and fly with the wind.

› objective Make an effective infographic in-cluding at least one chart or graph

› process This was the first full project I had done solely using Illustrator so I really felt the challenge. I started with sketches of thegeneral idea, then convertedeverything into vector graphics. The flow of the piece was a chal-lege, but I think I was able to create a visual flow that delivered the message in a fun and intersting way

› process Working with a friend who is aprofessional photographer I got the the extreme contrast for thephoto of my face. › objective Make a presentation about aspecific diet

› process This was the first time I had used Prezi, so I had to get used to how it worked and what, I at first, saw as limitations. I created an infographic based on a diet that I was trying, and worked it into a Prezi presentation that stepped through the specialfeatures of the diet.

› objective Make a montage that represents an inspirational idea

› process In this exercise I started with a quote that I liked and modified it slightly to work for my graphic. I then started to sketch and was struck by the M.C Escher illustra-tion of the artist looking at his own reflection. I found a couple of images that would capture that idea and I mixed them into my montage.

› process I was called by Slick's to help create a label for their product that was going on the market for the first time. They had no logo and no previous look so the field was wide open. Because it was a BBQ sauce it seemed right to do something with flames and colors that reflected the nature of the product.
