Day 01 - March 11, 2014, Tuesday: U.S. to Ireland. Depart U.S. for your overnight flight to Dublin, Ireland. Dinner is served on board. Day 02 - March 12, 2014, Wednesday: Dublin. Morning arrival at the Dublin Airport. Once you clear immigration, you'll make your way to the Arrivals Hall and proceed to the cafeteria area on your right, where your driver will meet you for the transfer to your hotel. At 2 p.m., meet your group in the hotel lobby for your guided tour of Dublin City. Enjoy a panoramic drive around Dublin, alt- hough modern and cosmopolitan, it still retains the grace and atmosphere of the eighteenth century as evidenced through its Geor- gian squares and terraces. Stop for a visit into Dublin Castle, which features prominently in Ireland's 800 year fight for independence from British rule and is still used for state visits today. Round out your taste of Dublin with a visit into Guinness Storehouse. Here you'll learn the history of this beloved Irish brew then enjoy views of Dublin City through 360 degrees of glass windows in the upper level Gravity Bar with a complimentary pint or soft drink. The evening is free for your exploration of this vibrant compact city, right on the doorstep of your hotel. Overnights and breakfast at the ACADEMY PLAZA HOTEL, DUBLIN. Day 03 - March 13, 2014, Thursday: Dublin - Galway. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing for Galway. St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland, and we begin our day with a visit into St. Patrick's Cathedral, which has been at the heart of Dublin's and Ireland's history and culture for 800 years. As the National Cathedral for the Church of Ireland, this magnificent architectural marvel is also the final resting place of one of Ireland's most famous men, Jonathan Swift, the author of “Gulliver's Travels.” Afterwards, we head across the Midlands, stopping to tour Locke's Distillery. Founded in 1757, it claims the “oldest distillery in the world” title. Learn about one of Ireland's premier products - whiskey - while you enjoy a sampling. Continue on to the city of Galway and enjoy an orientation tour of this famous city on Galway Bay. This evening, join your group for a delicious dinner at your hotel, The GALWAY BAY HOTEL or The HARBOUR HOTEL. Day 04 - March 14, 2014, Friday: Galway - Cliffs of Moher - Galway. After enjoying breakfast, you will see some of Ireland's unique countryside with a drive through the rocky landscapes of the Burren. Continue on to the majestic Cliffs of Moher, which extend over 5 miles along the Atlantic Ocean and rise 700 feet above the sea. Return to Galway City for the rest of your afternoon and evening at leisure, wandering through the Medieval Quarter and the bustling center of Eyre Square, taking in the flavor of St. Patrick's week in this thriving college town, sampling all this popular city has to offer. Dinner on your own tonight and over night at your Galway hotel. Day 05, March 15, 2014, Saturday: Galway - Connemara - Westport. This morning enjoy breakfast then depart for a drive through the spectacular scenery of the Connemara region with some special surprises along the way. Visit into Connemara Marble, a small jewelry shop that features this uniquely green world famous 500,000 year old marble found only in Ireland. Continue on to the charming town of Westport for dinner in your hotel, The HOTEL WESTPORT or BREAFFY HOUSE HOTEL. Afterwards, join our guides for a pub crawl, enjoying the flavor of Westport, famous for its Traditional Irish music. Day 06, March 16, 2014, Sunday: Westport - Dublin. After breakfast we travel inland today to visit the Strokestown Park House, a Georgian mansion preserved with its original furnishings and fabrics. A tour of The Big House gives an intimate insight into life in the 1800's, upstairs and downstairs, while the adjoining National Famine Museum tells a different story about a tragic period in Irish history which caused so many to flee to America. Afterwards, we travel back to Dublin, where party preparations are in high gear. Dinner and overnight at The JURY'S INN CHRISTCHURCH HOTEL. Day 07, March 17, 2014, Monday: Dublin. After enjoying breakfast at the hotel we take in the amazing St. Patrick's Day parade through city center. Then meet back at your hotel to collect your tickets for the afternoon's ALL IRELAND HURL- ING CLUB FINALS in the 80,000 seat Croke Park Stadium. Tonight, party with the thousands who will throng the streets of Dublin for the BIGGEST INTERNATIONAL IRISH PARTY IN THE WORLD within walking distance of your hotel. Overnight at your Dublin hotel. Day 08, March 18, 2014, Tuesday: Dublin. After breakfast you may need a RECOVERY DAY or - Join us for a stunning scenic tour around the Wicklow Mountain National Park, the filming location of some of Hollywood's movie blockbusters, such as “Braveheart” and “P.S. I Love You”. Visit Glendalough, one of the most important monastic sites which began the beer industry in Ireland. Learn why this 6th century site was also one of the main centers of learning in Europe for 1000 years and view the 10th century St. Kevin's Church.
