School started in a rented accommodation in the year
1989.
With 200 Students and 25 Staff Members.
Founder Principal Mrs. Asha Katyal.
The foundation of the school was laid in 1993 by
Late Shri Darbari Lal ji, the then Organizing
Secretary DAVCMC.

The school now has more than 3120 students and about
157 staff members(Teaching and Non Teaching).

(Ark - The Essence of Fine work)
New Initiatives
Food stall cum exhibition was organized on the Parent
Teacher Meeting i.e.10 October 2015. The delicacies
offered by students were enjoyed by one and all. The
exhibition, which included the various products made by
the students for the Diwali festival were highly
appreciated. The diyas, candles, lakshmi & Ganesh idols,
wall hangings and various other handicrafts were also at
display. The School Enterprise Team exhibited great
business acumen.
The Commerce Club organized -Synergy on 27th and
28th of August, 2015 , an Interschool Commerce Fest
with a motto "IMAGINE, INNOVATE, CREATE".
The two days event included plethora of activities-
Accounting Crossword puzzle, Business quiz, T-shirt
designing, Collage making, Brochure making, Ad-magic
competition, Nukkad Natika, and Business Plan
Presentation. Around 20 schools from all over Delhi
participated. Prizes were given away at the end of the
second day.

Hydrorocketry
DAV Rohini joined hands with space
organization and hosted hands on
workshop on hydro-rocketry on in
December 2015, in the school
premises. In the workshop, students
learnt the idea of rockets and how it
works. They made rockets using plastic
soft drink bottles and launched them
in the school ground.
Skyline
The school launched its first English Newsletter- Skyline
during the session 2015-2016 with an aim to bring out the
unexplored talent of our hugely creative youngsters.
Running for a Cause
“Run for a cause; Make every drop of your sweat count.” DAV
Rohini participated in Airtel Delhi Marathon organized in
November 2015. The motto was to promote the essence of Arya
Samaj ‘KRINVANTO VISHVAM ARYAM’ “-awaken the World
with the Vedic lights, with the ultimate goal of -let’s make this
world a better place to live in.
Celebrating Rakhi with Soldiers
The Students of classes I-II made rakhi’s on their own and sent
them to soldiers of the Indian Army.
Exposure to Motivational speech
We at DAV Rohini have started giving exposure to our students
to motivational speeches through videos during the substitute
periods so that the time can be constructively utilized and add on
to their holistic growth.
Robotics
DAV Rohini has taken a step forward to develop a Robotics Lab in
the school. The idea has already been initiated.
New Initiatives
Installation of RO Plant To provide provision for clean and filtered drinking
water for the staff and the students, the school recently
got a RO plant installed
Fire Safety Equipments As the mandatory norm for the safety measure of the students a Fire safety
system has been installed throughout the school to prevent any untoward
incident of fire.
Installation of CCTV Cameras Total number of 48 CCTV cameras with 3DVR’s have been installed, covering all
the crucial and important locations in the school premises.
Installation of Smart Boards in all the sections till Class X Keeping with the ever changing pace of technology smart boards have been
installed to promote e-learning.
Renovation and Beautification of the School Reception
Keeping in mind the requirements of the tiny toddlers of our school,
renovation of the washrooms for the Nursery wing students has been
done. Reception area is also revamped.
New Initiatives
Future Initiatives The School has got an approval for setting up the ATAL Tinkering Lab, an
initiative under the ATAL Innovation Mission by NITI Aayog, Govt. of India
undertaking.
Under this initiative, the School is likely to receive a grant of Rs.20 lacs,
wherein students of (Class 6th to Class 12th) will learn innovation skills
and develop ideas that will go on to transform India
