− The surface incision is made by rapid fusion and vaporization of the material with subsequent re-solidification of the edges of the groove. This effect is achieved by a combination of vaporization, melting and burning processes.

− Anodic film, coatings or paint on metals and/or plastic can be easily vaporized without the need for high heat input, so, without affecting the underlying material.
