Data Solutions & Technology (DST) is a management consulting firm located outside of the Nation’s Capital in Lanham, MD. With 20 years of consulting experience, DST brings high-level strategies to customers in the government and private sector by providing counsel on how to manage staff, develop and operate their programs.
Founded by Deborah Scott Thomas, she is a retired Colonel from the United States Air Force Reserve after serving three decades. Once an executive for Fortune 500 companies and small businesses, Mrs. Thomas started DST after she saw the need for female entrepreneurs in the consulting arena.
Mrs. Thomas is responsible for managing the company, formulating and executing long-term strategies and interfacing with clients and stakeholders. She is DST’s primary decision maker, setting the tone for the company’s values, ethics and culture.
Most recently Mrs. Thomas was appointed to the Prince Georges Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and named Prince George’s Chamber Business Leader of the Year. She received the honor of the Washington Business Journal’s Most Admired CEO Readers’ Choice Award for Professional Services; the U.S. Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency’s National Abe Venable Legacy Award for Lifetime Achievement and The Daily Record’s list of Maryland’s Top 100 Women.
