The FMS 8150 Form Measurement System measures out-of- roundness, eccentricity, FIM, squareness, circular flatness and parallelism of continuous and partial arc surfaces. The high accuracy rotary table consists of a hardened stainless steel worktable mounted on a spindle that is supported by a radial and axial bearing. The worktable is lapped flat and has centering grooves and tapped fixturing holes. The pivot lever gage features a clutched stylus that can swivel through a 200˚ arc to facilitate instrument setup. Control knobs allow convenient adjustment of stylus fine position, gaging force and gaging direction. The gage and post arm assembly features conveniently located directional control knobs for ease of horizontal and vertical positioning of the gage head. The horizontal arm swing accepts parts up to 450mm (16in) in diameter. The dual gage head swivel feature at the end of the horizontal arm allows flexible positioning for virtually any requirement. The gage is complimented with an Interface Electronics Controller (IEC) that has connections for dual gage heads as well as USB and serial port. The accompanying PC utilizes Windows™ based TrueRond software for all measurements and results information.
