Local Daycares and the Effects of All Day

Purpose: Focus on daycares in our community. Availability/access. See how daycares have changed over the years
(popularity wise) Look into the effects of all day kindergarten. Are parents ready for the change? Are the children themselves are ready for the
change?
Expected Results.
The use of childcare to be rising over the years.
Cost increasing due to high demands. Programs to be changing to maintain
business Daycares to lose business for next year
Key Terms. Childcare: refers to any person(s) besides the parents
who take care of children. Ex, Daycare, grandparents, neighbours, preschool ect.
Daycare: refers to a facility in which you bring your children to, and pick up from within a given time period.
Regulated childcare: refers to a person(s) who is licensed in what they do and have completed courses to maintain optimal knowledge. The licensed facility is required to have permits, as well as fire codes, environmental health codes, and zoning provisions.
