It is with great enthusiasm that I am proud to announce that the 10th annual meeting of the Dermatologic & Aesthetic Surgery International League (DASIL) will take place October 27-30, 2021 in Mexico City. As incoming president for the DASIL 2021 meeting, I am reaffirming the goal of DASIL to create a global community for the open exchange of knowledge and innovation by physicians specializing in Dermatologic and Aesthetic Surgery. At the core of our mission statement is the intention of elevating the global standard for dermatologic surgery and aesthetic procedures.

The international faculty of DASIL 2021, featuring world leading authorities in dermatologic surgery and aesthetic procedures, will serve to educate a large number of international physicians from around the world. The DASIL 2021 curriculum will provide an educational curriculum featuring educational symposia, workshops and live patient demonstrations in the areas of dermatologic surgery, laser medicine, aesthetic procedures and surgery as well as selected topics in medical dermatology. DASIL 2021 will also continue in the tradition of creating networking opportunities among physicians and industry via the numerous social events that take place during the course of the meeting.

We welcome our colleagues in industry to join us for what promises to be the international educational event of 2021. The proximity of the DASIL 2021 Mexico City meeting site to the U.S., Canada and S. America as well as the ease of travel from Europe and Asia will undoubtedly encourage participation on a global basis. We ask you to review our Exhibitor Prospectus which offers opportunities at every level of engagement. We look forward to seeing you at DASIL 2021 in Mexico City next October. It promises to be an educational event to remember.

MEXICO CITY W E L C O M E S Y O U

Michael H. Gold, MDDEPUTY CHAIR

We are so very excited to be bringing the DASIL meeting back to the Western Hemisphere – this time to the beautiful, cultural rich city of Mexico City. Dr. Hector Leal Silva and his remarkable team have been working to bring to all of us a fantastic 10th World Congress, where we truly mean Masters Teaching Masters. In 2021 we will bring Innovative Dermatology, Surgery, and the world of Aesthetics into this one very special meeting.

We once again welcome your participation in our DASIL meeting – and make no mistake, DASIL is a very unique and special society. We are a true non-profit society and all the funds that we raise with your help goes into our teaching programs and academic initiatives. Our members are not paid by the society and all the time spent on DASIL is done because we all believe in the mission. That means teaching and mentoring our colleagues from all over the world.

The program for Mexico City will include all the aesthetic and surgical applications that helps define DASIL. We also will add in some of the important medical dermatology of the day. So we will have medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and something for everyone in what has truly become one of the world’s most important congresses. We welcome you and the world to DASIL.

Michael H. Gold, MDDeputy Chair

DASIL (The Dermatologic & Aesthetic Surgery International League) is a worldwide organization with a unique and innovative mission: to bring all over the world the latest academic advancements in Clinical, Surgical and Aesthetic Dermatology. To accomplish this goal, DASIL members integrate a Faculty of dozens well known experts from more than 80 countries, whom altruistically contribute with their time and knowledge: Global teachers, regional impact. I have had the wonderful opportunity to represent Mexico as a founding member of this great organization since day one, almost a decade ago, sharing knowledge, making great friends, traveling the world and learning from the greats.

As a teaching group, having traveled to amazing places as Malta, Vietnam, South Africa, Shanghai, Bangkok and Dubai, among others, it is a great honor to have now the responsibility to coordinate a magnificent and enthusiastic team of collaborative experts, and introduce to North America the DASIL World Congress in its Ninth Edition. Bringing to the region, the most recent developments in Dermatological Innovations, Surgery and Aesthetics.

Mexico City is one of the most cosmopolitan cities; it certainly offers everything of everything: gastronomy, architecture, entertainment, history, a unique culture and many legends. Plus the world-renowned warmth of Mexicans, whom will make our guests feel at home, one full of music, color and folklore, of exceptional flavors and scents, mixed with the utmost academic experience we are preparing, we have certainty the DASIL World Congress Mexico City 2021 will become a magical event to be remembered for a lifetime. Welcome!
