EINLEITUNGOder: „Warum gerade dieses Buch?“
ine gut klingende Klavierfassung oder einen schlüssigen Groove zu kreieren, istneben der Komposition einer eingängigen Melodie oder dem Spielen eines tollenSolos eine der schönsten Erfahrungen, die man als „Tastenmensch“ in einem
Ensemble, als Begleiter oder als Solist machen kann. Einen Weg dahin möchte dir die-ses Buch zeigen. Dabei werden wichtige „W-Fragen“ beantwortet:
Wie begleite ich andere oder mich selbst stilistisch passend und spieltechnischeffektiv?
Wie entwickle ich praxisnahe eigene Grooves oder Begleitungen für das Kla-vier/Keyboard?
Wie verbessere ich mein Timing und mein Empfinden für Rhythmen und Phra-sen?
Welche Merkmale besitzen bestimmte Stilistiken und wie können diese pianis-tisch umgesetzt werden?
Was macht einen guten Begleiter aus?
Das Thema der Improvisation lasse ich bewusst außen vor. Wer sich dafür interessiert,findet genügend Fachliteratur, die sich ausführlich und ausschließlich mit diesemThema beschäftigt.
Ein persönliches Buch
Dies ist auch und vor allem ein Buch aus persönlicher Sicht. Ich behandle nicht alleAspekte, die irgendetwas mit dem Klavier und seiner Funktion als Begleitinstrument zutun haben (was schon aus Gründen des Umfangs nicht möglich ist). Dieses Themabesitzt unendlich viele Facetten, und auch die Wege zum Ziel können äußerst vielfältigsein. Wir befinden uns im Bereich der Musik, und da sind immer auch Fantasie undKreativität gefragt – es gibt weder ein „Richtig“ noch ein absolutes „Falsch“. Das machtes natürlich nicht leichter, Wissen so weiterzugeben, dass möglichst viele ihren Nutzendaraus ziehen können. Ich zeige dir daher meine subjektive Sicht der Dinge. Vertraueeinfach darauf, dass ich durch langjährige Erfahrung als Live-Musiker, Klavierlehrerund Korrepetitor weiß, was gut klingt, sinnvoll umsetzbar, stiltypisch und vor allempraxistauglich ist.
Es ist mir hoffentlich gelungen, dies alles sowohl informativ als auch unterhaltsam zuvermitteln. Trockene theoretische Abhandlungen gibt es schon genug!

Wechselakkorde/Back Cycling bei einem Moll-Akkord I
Wir sehen hier an diesem Beispiel (und seiner Dur-Variante 22 c) die mögliche Lösungeines oft auftretenden Problems, das sich so formulieren lässt: „Ich muss über mehrereTakte auf einem Akkord bleiben, möchte aber trotzdem funky und sowohl rhythmischals auch harmonisch abwechslungsreich klingen.“ Ausführlicher befassen wir unsdamit noch in Kapitel 8 (Stichwort: Mother Chord).
Rhythmisch wird das Ganze hier souverän mit der uns mittlerweile vertrauten„Zahnrad-Methode“ (siehe auch Beispiel 19) gelöst, bei der rechte und linkeHand wie die Rädchen eines Uhrwerks ineinandergreifen.
Als Kontrast dazu werden jedoch in Takt 2 (auf den Zählzeiten „3-und“ bzw.„4-te“) rechte und linke Hand auch einmal gleichzeitig gespielt. Da dies nicht

Als nächstes brauchen wir einen „Kleber“ für die rechte Hand, der unsere Akkordfolgezusammenhält. Am besten wäre eine Hookline – ein Motiv, das sich über mehrereTakte wiederholt und damit als Verbindungsglied fungieren kann.
versuchst nun, eine solche Hookline zu finden. Gehe am besten von mei-nem D-Dur-Voicing aus und modifiziere gegebenenfalls die nachfolgenden
Akkorde. Und hast du bemerkt, dass immer jeweils auf der letzten Sechzehntel vor derTakthälfte der Grundton erscheint? Kannst du das in dein Motiv mit einbinden, undwenn ja, wie?

Mein Motiv erscheint in jedem Takt (bis auf den Schlusstakt) identisch.Dadurch wird es etabliert und bleibt im Ohr. Es besteht vor allem aus Wechsel-akkorden. (Diese hatten wir im Kapitel 2 besprochen).
Wie du siehst, habe ich das letzte Sechzehntel vor der Takthälfte jeweils mit indie Hookline eingebaut. Dadurch wird dieser wichtige Akzent verstärkt.
Außerdem haben meine Akkorde durch das durchlaufende Motiv zwangsläufigOptionstöne erhalten: große Septimen, Nonen, sogar eine Undezime (11) beiEm (T. 3) ist dabei (weshalb dieser Akkord hier als Bm7/E ausgewiesen wird).

Metronom und „Triple Layer“
Mit dieser Übung sind wir schon fast im Bereich der Body Percussion, um die es späterin diesem Kapitel noch gehen wird. Wir stocken auf und werden nun drei Rhythmus-ebenen kontrollieren müssen:
Unser Fuß übernimmt als Ebene 1 die Aufgabe des Metronoms und klopft die Viertel.(Entscheide selbst, ob du dir zutraust, ohne Metronom den Grundbeat zu halten.Ansonsten lasse es ruhig noch in Vierteln mitlaufen.)
