Darlington Borough Council are looking to appoint a Head of SEND & Inclusion to lead the range of services delivered across the Borough to support our most vulnerable children.

The landscape across SEND services has been evolving since the SEND Code of Practice, and this role requires an adept negotiator with a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children and their families.

For this dynamic and challenging role, we're looking for an innovative leader with an outstanding record in delivering support services to vulnerable children with SEND, or other additional learning, social, medical or mental health needs. Working to ensure they achieve the best possible educational and life outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of Education and Inclusion you will work to ensure we fulfil all our statutory responsibilities whilst engaging effectively with children, families and our partners to design services that effectively meet their needs.

Job Description An opportunity has arisen in the Safeguarding Adults Team for a suitably qualified Senior Practitioner.

This is an 18.5 hour post as part of a job share with another Senior Practitioner.

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker who has a highly developed specialist knowledge in Safeguarding Adults.
