IntroductionThe DAP-3520 802.11a/n or b/g/n switchable AP increases productivity by allowing you to work aster and moreeciently. With the DAP-3520, bandwidth-intensive applications like graphics or multimedia will benet signicantlybecause large les are now able to move across the network quickly.

The DAP-3520 is capable o operating in one o ve dierent wireless networking modes: access point, WDS (WirelessDistribution System) with AP, WDS, Wireless Client, or WISP (Wireless Internet Service Provider) Client Routermode.

Use less wiring, enjoy increased fexibility, save time and money with PoE (Power over Ethernet). With PoE, the DAP-3520shares power and data over the CAT5 cable, making the setup o your network less expensive and more convenient.

An ideal solution or quickly creating and extending a wireless local area network (WLAN) in oces or other workplaces,

trade shows, and special events, the DAP-3520 provides data transer rates up to 300Mbps*. (The 802.11n standard isbackwards compatible with 802.11a, 802.11g, and 802.11b devices.)

    * Maximum wireless signal rate derived rom IEEE Standard 802.11g, 802.11a and Drat 802.11n specications. Actual data throughput will vary. Network conditions and

environmental actors, including volume o network trac, building materials and construction, and network overhead, lower actual data throughput rate. Environmentalconditions will adversely aect wireless signal range.

Features. Faster.Wireless.Networking - The DAP-3520 provides up to 300Mbps* wireless connection with other 802.11n

wireless clients. This capability allows users to participate in real-time activities online, such as video streaming, online gaming, and real-time audio. The perormance o this 802.11n wireless router gives you the reedom o wireless

networking at speeds 14x aster than 802.11g.

. Compatible.with.80211a.and.80211g.Devices - The DAP-3520 is still ully compatible with the IEEE 802.11a/gstandard, so it can connect with existing 802.11a/b/g PCI, USB and Cardbus adapters.

. Four.Dierent.Operation.Modes - Capable o operating in one o our dierent operation modes to meet yourwireless networking needs: Access.Point, WDS.with.AP, WDS, Wireless.Client.

. Better.security.with.WPA -The DAP-3520 can securely connect wireless clients on the network using WPA (Wi-Fi

Protected Access) to provide a much higher level o security or your data and communications.

AP.Manager.II.Management.Sotware -The real-time display o the network's topology and APs inormation makesnetwork conguration and management quick and simple.

. SNMP.or.Management - The DAP-3520 is not just ast, but also supports SNMP v.3 or better network management.Superior wireless AP manager sotware is bundled with the DAP-3520 or network conguration and rmware upgrade.Systems administrators can also set up the DAP-3520 easily with the Web-based conguration. A D-Link D-View

6.0 module will be downloadable or network administration and real-time network trac monitoring with the D-View6.0 sotware.

    * Maximum wireless signal rate derived rom IEEE Standard 802.11a, 802.11g, and Drat 802.11n specications. Actual data throughput will vary. Networkconditions and environmental actors, including volume o network trac, building materials and construction, and network overhead, lower actual data

throughput rate. Environmental conditions will adversely aect wireless signal range.

Ack Time Out (2.4 GHz, 64~200) or Ack Time Out (5 GHz, 50~200):To eectively optimize throughput over long distance links enter a value or Acknowledgement Time Out between 50 and 200 microsecondsor 5 GHz or rom 64 to 200 microseconds in the 2.4 GHz in the eld provided.

Short GI:Select Enable or Disable. Enabling a short guard interval can increase throughput. However, be aware that it can also increase the errorrate in some installations due to increased sensitivity to radio-requency installations.

IGMP Snooping:Select Enable or Disable. Internet Group Management Protocol allows the AP to recognize IGMP queries and reports sent betweenrouters and an IGMP host (wireless STA). When IGMP snooping is enabled, the AP will orward multicast packets to an IGMP host basedon IGMP messages passing through the AP.

Connection Limit:Select Enable or Disable. This is an option or load balancing. This determines whether to limit the number o users accessing thisdevice. The exact number is entered in the User Limit eld below. This eature allows the user to share the wireless network trac and theclient using multiple APs. I this unction is enabled, when the number o users exceeds this value, the DAP-3520 will not allow clients to

    associate with the AP.

User Limit (0 - 64):Set the maximum amount o users that are allowed access (0-64 users). To use this eature, the Connection Limit above must be enabled. For most users, a limit o 10 is recommended. The deault setting is 20.
