Page 1: Daniel Ward Reference Recommendation Letter

January 24th, 2015 To Whom It May Concern, My name is Peter Lim, Academic Manager at Kaplan International - Westwood. It is my pleasure to recommend Daniel Ward, who I worked with both as a teacher-colleague, and later as his manager at the Kaplan International – San Francisco school from April 2012 through May 2014. During his time at KI – San Francisco, he taught a variety of levels, from Elementary through Advanced, as well as TOEFL, and established himself as a very well-liked, innovative, and engaging teacher. Daniel regularly received extremely positive student feedback in our weekly student surveys, and students would often let me know how “fun” and “challenging” his classes were. Students seemed to be impressed by the variety and flow of his classes, and really appreciated the effort that he put into planning interesting activities for them to do. Daniel had an especially high level of success in teaching our TOEFL and Academic English (TAE) program for a number of years. His knowledge of the test and creative approach to teaching a potentially “dry” topic made our TAE program popular among students, and there were often non-TAE students who approached me with an interest in our TAE program, primarily because of Daniel’s reputation. I believe Daniel will be successful in any environment because he is truly a talented and driven individual. He receives my highest recommendation, and I’m excited to see the positive impact that he will have on the TESOL/ESL community at large. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions! Sincerely,

Peter Lim Academic Manager | Kaplan International - Westwood 1133 Westwood Blvd, Ste. 201 | Los Angeles, CA 90024 Email: [email protected]
