At 10:40 hours EI ICM Daniel Chang observed a construction backhoe using a jackhammer attachment to break the street concrete at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Crescent Drive (see photos). The ICM notified Metro Inspector Shantan Pangi of the issue. As written in article XIV of the MOA, except by written permission from the City during emergencies that may threaten public health and safety, sawcutting, jackhammering, and the use of vacuum trucks are prohibited 6pm to 9am Monday through Friday on all streets. A violation was not written because the jackhammering was promptly discontinued after the ICM notified the crew of the issue.

Violation ID # 55 At 08:00 hours, ICM PM J. George was informed work was conducted between 20:00 May 21st and 6:50 May 22nd without an ICM present.
