Romans 7:15-17

For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Romans 7:18-20

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.

It is better not to know the truth, than to know it and turn from it.

For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.

But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: "A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire."

It is better not to know the truth, than to know it and turn from it.One must be a doer, not just a hearer.

Some love others more than God.

He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

Some are not willing to investigate, accepting whatever others tell them.

DANGERS TO THE SOULCertainly these are not all of the dangers facing the soul, but these are some that we must guard against.

DANGERS TO THE SOULWe must make sure we have the right information - the doctrine of Christ. We must make sure our conduct is in accord with His teaching. And we must make sure our attitude of heart is that we desire to do the will of God.

DANGERS TO THE SOULOur enemy the Devil is always alert to our weaknesses; therefore, we must always be alert to dangers we face.
