Each unit will ship completely assembled in a free standing enclosure labeled as conforming to UL Type 1, 12, or 3R environmental protection as required by the installation. Units require simple four-wire-in and four-wire-out power connections.TheentirepackageisUL508AIndustrialControlPanel.

All12-pulsebridgesareseparatefromtheVFD’srectifiers.ThesebridgesareseparatefromtheVFD’sstandard6-pulsebridge to ensure appropriate load sharing and harmonic reduction.Inputtotherectifiersisanelectro-staticallyshielded phase shifting drive isolation transformer.
18-Pulse
All18-pulseunitsincludethree6diodebridgerectifiers.ThesebridgesareseparatefromtheVFDsstandard6-pulsebridge to ensure appropriate load sharing and harmonic reduction.Inputtotherectifiersisanauto-transformerwiththe following design criteria:
• Automaticshutdownwithphaseloss.
• Integralhighimpedancelinereactormatedwiththetransformer by the transformer manufacture to ensure optimum performance.
• Newesttopologythatwillperformasdesignedonaphaseunbalanceupto2%.Olderdesigntopologieshavelessperformanceonvoltageunbalance,usuallyspecifiedas1/2%unbalance.
