PROGRESS UPDATE PLAN FOR NEXT MONTH / WEEK (Including Possible Contingency Plans If Problems Anticipated)

September 2012(Detailed Monthly Summary)

This month we started to do a few starter tasks to get used to the course and some of the software we would be using, e.g. Premiere. Also we decided on the ancillary project that we would be doing and me and my group decided upon Music Video.

I will research and complete my ancillary 1 and will start working on my ancillary 2

October 2012(Detailed Monthly Summary)

We carried on looking into postmodern theories and started researching and producing our 2nd ancillary task. Also we started some research into our main piece.

We will look at audience and narrative theories when looking at postmodernism and we will also carry on doing some research for our main product.

November 2012(Detailed Monthly Summary)

We did further work on our main product, we looked at other music videos from the dance music genre and the techniques and features that they used in their videos so that we could get some ideas for ours. Also we looked at narrative theory and did some research into that.

We will carry on looking into narrative and audience theory in preparation for the exam.

December 2012(Detailed Monthly Summary)

This month we carried on planning and researching our main product and we started creating a storyboard and brainstorming ideas on the product we would produce. We started to move on to look at media language in preparation for section A of the exam.

I will complete my market research for my music video and start to compile my results.

Mon W/B 07/01/13(Detailed Weekly Summary)

I have completed my questionnaire and got 10 people to fill it in and I am carrying on with my storyboard and mind mapping.

I will start to put together a report on the results I got from the questionnaire’s

Mon W/B 14/01/13(Detailed Weekly Summary)

I am going to start compile the results into a report in the form of a pie chart for each question with a paragraph underneath to explain the results.

Next week I will finish the report I’m creating for my music video questionnaire and try and get as far as I can with my initial ideas for my main product

Mon W/B 21/01/13(Detailed Weekly Summary)

I have finished making the report for my music video questionnaire which consists of a pie chart for each question and a paragraph to explain the results I received for each question.

Me and the rest of my group have thought about what we want our music video to be like so we will now create a report on it

We have created the report as a group to specify exactly what ideas we will use in our music video

As we have now completed our report we can now start to write our script for the music video

Mon W/B 04/02/13(Detailed Weekly Summary)

We have started to complete our script to show how our music video will pan out and what things we need to do where etc.

We will use the script we have produced to help us complete our storyboard which will give a more in depth analysis of our music video

Mon W/B 11/02/13(Detailed Weekly Summary)

We will use our storyboard and script to guide us when making our video so that we have guidelines to follow.

Now that all our preparation work is complete we will begin filming as soon as possible.

Mon W/B 18/02/13(Detailed Weekly Summary)

We started filming and have successfully completed the shooting of our introduction to the video.

We will upload the footage that we have so far onto adobe premiere so that it is ready to edit and we will also film more footage for our video.

Mon W/B 25/02/13(Detailed Weekly Summary)

We have got a lot more footage for our video and we haven’t got much more filming to do. We have uploaded all the footage we have got at the minute onto premiere so it is ready to edit

We plan to get the last bit of footage we need for our video and then upload it to premiere and begin editing

Mon W/B 04/03/13(Detailed Weekly Summary)

We have gathered the remaining bit of footage we needed and are now able to start editing

We will continue to edit our music video using different editing techniques

Mon W/B 11/03/13(Detailed Weekly Summary)

We have continued to edit our music video this week and are not far off finishing it.

Need to add the final touches to the video and then upload it to you tube for our first draft video to be put on to our blogs

We have finished our first draft and uploaded it onto our blogs. Over half term I will complete the first draft of my evaluation and edit my responses and put them in different media formats such as soundcloud and prezi

I am finishing my first draft of my evaluation I will finish my first draft of my evaluation and we will complete our final edit of our music video in our group

Mon W/B 08/04/13(Detailed Weekly Summary)

I have finished my evaluation and we have finished our final edit of our music video

I will tidy up my blog and finish off any unfinished tasks

I finished off a couple of tasks for my ancillaries that weren’t completed and checked that everything was on my blog.
