Content selection is curation

But what is it we really mean when we say curation?
Curation is Acquisition… an act of selection … selectively acquiring items to make the collection more comprehensive and/or focused … considering and appraising, researching, contextualizing and selecting, constantly searching and refining.
Curation is Exhibition… conceptualization, interpretation and transformation of objects into an illustration, making the objects and the message accessible to a wide audience
Curation is Preservation… the storage and care of collections, sometimes passive and sometimes active.
