INTRODUCTION ON E-PAYMENT
E-payment is a subset of an e-commerce transaction to include electronic payment for buying and selling goods or services offered through the Internet.
e-Payment is a new concept to the U.T. of Daman & Diu, this manual has been prepared
with a view to provide step -by-step guidance to the dealers for making online payment through the e-Payment module.
The dealer can also access the details for Bank Helpline, Procedure to make e-Payment and the banks authorized. This manual contains details and screenshots for making online payment for a monthly and quarterly dealer who is registered with the Department of VAT. The Salient features of the e-Payment Modules are:-
Online payment for e-Returns (VAT/CST/COT/TDS), e-Registration, etc.
Online generation of reference number upon making online payment
Automatically updation of payment details
Verify and Print online payment receipt any time anywhere.
No need to visit Bank for payment submission.
Note: e-Payment procedure has been changed to control the payment of mismatch amounts
and due to integration of VAT department with account department.

E-PAYMENT PRE REQUISITES
o Dealer needs to have an account with internet transfer facility in specified banks.
o Dealer needs have a transfer facility enabled in online transfer facility.
o Dealer needs a valid e-challan number (Refer e-challan module user manual) except for e-Registration payments.

PAYMENT PROCEDURE
Step 1: Click on the e-Payment option provided on the VAT department website – www.ddvat.gov.in
Step 2: Select e-Payment options as per your requirement –
1. VAT (Value Added Tax) – Click on this option if you want to pay the payment of VAT or COT
or TDS.
2. CST (Central Sales Tax) – Click on this option if you want to pay the payment of CST.
3. Registration Fees - Click on this option if you want to pay the New Registration fee of
VAT/CST.

Step 3: (A) Regarding the payment of VAT/CST/COT/TDS.
Enter e-Challan No. generated through e-Challan module. (For generation of e-challan no.
refer e-challan manual)
Step 4: After entering correct e-Challan No. system automatically displayed all the related values
like TIN No., Address, Period & Amount. Verify the displayed details and after that select Bank
Name from the list and enter mobile no. for SMS regarding e-payment reference number.

Step 5: After that a payment confirmation page is displayed. Enter security check word as displayed
and click on “check” button. After click on “Submit” button system generated the e-payment
Reference number to track the payment.

Step 6: After that click on “Click here for Payment” Button. System forwarded to you on the
concerned bank website for payment. Pay the payment as per bank procedure.
Step 7: After successful payment system generate the payment receipt. After that click on the “Click
here for E-Challan option” to save payment receipt.

After successful payment the system automatically update the e-payment details in e-
challan module. You only have to upload the payment challan in “Upload challan” option in
e-challan module.
You may submit the generated challans one by one.
After submitting payment details against the challans you may submit the return from “Update
& Submit” option.

Step 3: (B) Regarding the payment of VAT/CST Registration Fees.
Enter Acknowledgement Number & Date and click on “GO” button.

Step 4: After that verify the displayed details & select Bank Name and enter Mobile Number for SMS
and click on “GO” Button.
Step 5: After successful payment system generate the payment receipt. After that click on the “Click
here for E-Challan option” to save payment receipt.

VERIFY E-PAYMENT
To verify the e-payment click on “Verify ePayment” option.
Provide the required details like e-Payment Reference No. or TIN/TAN Number, Payment
Date & Paid Amount. After that click on “List” Button.

System List down all the payment paid as per your provided details. Click on “Verify” Option.
After clicking on the “Verify” Option, System shows the payment details with status.

PRINT E-PAYMENT
To print the e-payment click on “Print eChallan” option.
Provide the required details like e-Payment Reference No. or TIN/TAN Number, Payment Date & Paid Amount. After that click on “Challan Print” Button.

System List down all the payment paid as per your provided details.
o Click on “Print” Option to print directly through printer.
o Click on “PDF Print” Option to save e-payment receipt in PDF Format.
Note: Continue to payment details addition in e-Challan module.

ABOUT MANUAL
The purpose of this manual is to describe the e-Payment functionality available through the
web portal of The Value Added Tax Department (DoVAT), Daman & Diu for the dealers who wishes
to make online payment for Returns (VAT/CST/COT/TDS), Registration.
This document is intended to the dealers and other business men in Daman & Diu who file
their returns with the VAT department

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question 1: Is without challan number e-payment is possible?
Answer: Yes, only against Registration fees. For Tax (VAT/CST/COT/TDS) payment you need a valid e-
challan number. For generation of e-challan refer e-challan user manual.
Question 2: After generating e-challan any editing in amount during e-payment is possible?
Answer: No, because all the fields are non-editable except bank name selection. So if you have any
change in e-challan you need to recreate it. For generation of e-challan refer e-challan user manual.
Question 3: After successful payment against generated e-challan, cancellation of e-challan is possible?
Answer: No, once payment has been done against the e-challan, cancellation of e-challan is not possible
because payment is remitted against that challan.
With a fully computerized system, Department is looking forward to the better
and brighter Tax Administration in the U.T of Daman & Diu and dealer need
not waste their time in approaching the office.
