DFW Airport recently completed upgrades to its original terminals with a $2.7 billion ‘Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program’ (TRIP) and currently hosts 164 gates flying to 260 destinations. In 2020, DFW will begin construction of Terminal F which will add capacity for up to 24 additional gates. Located just seven miles from downtown Dallas, Love Field is a convenient general- use airport that serves as the headquarters for low-cost carrier Southwest Airlines. The airport, which served more than 16.8 million passengers in 2019, underwent a $519 million modernization renovation, including a centralized terminal with 20 gates, a new lobby, and an expanded baggage claim area.
