Parent’s a ending the Club’s Valen ne’s Day Dinner can drop off their children in the Board Room, so you can enjoy a quiet dinner with each other on this special day. Hours will run 5:00pm—9:00pm. Dinner will be served at 6:00pm for kids. Games will be available as well as a movie!
Cost is $10 per kid. Kids must be
registered by Friday, February 13th.

Inmy secondmonth I am really starting to understand whatyouallwantfromyourclub. Ihearthesamethingfromallofyou. We areworking daily to improve all aspects of the foodandbeverageservice. Iwilldomybest toaccommodateyourrequests.
Idoneedyoutotellmewhatitisyoulike,dislikeoryouwouldlike changed. The entire Dakota Dunes Country Club staff ishere everyday to improve your club. You will notice somechanges already with a few popular food items back on themenu.Thereareseveralnewserversandnewproducts.
Wearegearingupforthissummer.Myemphasiswillbeonthepatio. I amvery excited for the opportunity tomake that theshowcase of your country club. There are special drinks andfoodsintheworksthatwillbewhatbringsyouandyourgueststothepatioforadrink(ortwo)afteraroundofgolformeetingfriendsforaneveningonthepatiobythe irepitandoverlook-ingtheriver.

Themerchandisesurveyaswellasyourmemberresponseswereutilized to help form amerchandisingmix and buying plan fortheseason.Despitebeingapartof thebuyingandmerchandiseoperationfor13years,it’salwaysachallengingtask.Wehaveauniquemembershipwithabroadrangeofagesandpreferencesandtrendsintheindustryarealwayschanging.Herearenoticea-blechangesandtrendsfor2015:
Cotton shirts aremakinga comebackdespitehigherpricesand thatmoisturewicking,wrinkle free fabrics leading thewaysince2009.
Nonrollingself-collar shirtsareno longer justa trend,butarenowtopsellersofferedbyallcompanies.
The heathered look, camo patterns and color locking onshirts and outerwear are very trendy and popular for thisseason.
Bright colors and lorescent tones are a staple in footwearandgolfshoes.
Driversnolongercomeinjustdifferentshapesandsizesbutcolornowaswell. All companiesaregetting creativewiththe inishesandcolorsoftheirdriverheads.OnlyTitleistisstillusingthestandardblackpaintcolorand inishin2015.
Putting together an improved service team is currently in theworksfor2015.Therewillbetwonewseasonalassistantprofes-sionalsonstaffthatarecurrentlybeinginterviewedandhopeful-lywillbeinplacewhenthecourseopens.Additionallytherewillbe apart timeStarter andRangerposition tohelpwith theor-ganizationofgroupsandpaceofplay. Manyoftheveteranout-sideservicestaffwillnolongerbereturningduetoageandjobsthatpertaintotheircollegemajor.Ifyouknowofanyhighschoolandcollegeageyoungmenandwomenthatarelookingforem-ployment,pleasehavethemcontacttheGolfShopthismonthasweputourteamtogether.

Asof thiswriting,mostof theheavytreework iscompleteonninewith the exception of hauling out logs and stumps. Theskidsteerwillbeusedto loadtheseintothedumptrailerandhaulofftothedumpsite. Next,therewillbea“cherrypicker”onthesitecleaningupaerialapproachesintothegreen. Oncethisiscompletethestumpgrindercanmoveincompletingtheprocess.In the shopwe’re inishing the bulk of the cutting unitwork,grinding out the metal surfaces to manufacturer’sspeci ications.Nextwillbethetractionunitsandprimemoversin preparation for the next growing season. We’re in theprocessofmanufacturingself-containedhoserigstosavehandwatering time. When complete we’ll be able to roll up to agreenor teesite, tapaquick-coupler,andpullout thedesiredamount of hose. Once completewe’ll crank in the hose uponthereelandmoveontothenextsite.Thesandbagsoutonthegreenscovershavebeenkeepingthecovers where they belong even with the strong winds thiswinter. We will also be working on labor for the upcomingseason.Employeesfromthepreviousseasonwillbecontactedtodeterminetheir interest inreturningthisseason. Oncethisprocess is complete; a job fair may be utilized to ill theremainingslots. Whenattemptingto indinterns it’salwaysabonusifyoucanprovidehousingofanysort.Ifanyofyoufolkshaveshorttermhousingavailableletusknow.Itwon’tbelong,welookforwardtohavinga“ballintheair”soonerratherthanlater.
