Welcome to Dakkak Tours International Company Profile. Dakkak Tours International is one of Jordan’s leading independently owned incoming tour operator and DMC ―Destination Management Company‖ serving the leisure and incentive markets for more than 55 years. Founded in Jerusalem in 1955, Dakkak is a service organization, in which our prime focus is to retain our satisfied clients; our success is built on the superior knowledge of all our staff, with the ability to retain our committed employees, thereby ensuring that you receive a consistent quality of service. Jerusalem office at that time used to serve pilgrims traveling to the holy land with some extensions to Jordan & Egypt. In 1977, Dakkak opened its first office in Amman – Jordan. Since then, Dakkak continued to grow forming Dakkak Group, under which various brands are featured, all related to travel services. Today we do have 8 offices in Jordan, 1 in Jerusalem and 1 in the USA forming Dakkak Group in addition to several representatives worldwide. Our Head Office is based in Amman – Jordan. We are a full travel service company offering a wide selection of products and facilities in Jordan and beyond. According to official statistics of the Jordanian Ministry of Tourism, and for the past 3 years Dakkak has been holding the position 1 – 3 inbound in number of tourists to Jordan and has been among the top 5 in the last 10 years. Cultural Tours Jordan is a natural choice for the cultural tourist-with an overwhelming ―open air museum‖ of archaeological treasures that witnessed the rise and fall of civilizations. Clients can travel the king’s Highway, an ancient trade route, and revel in the art and history at Jordan’s more than thirty museums. Special tours can be arranged around any historical period or around themes such as mosaics, the Roman Decapolis cities, Muslims and Crusader castles or traditional handcrafts.

Biblical Tours There are nearly a hundred places mentioned or associated with events recorded in the Bible in Jordan, alone. Many of these are on the tourist trail—Jerash (Gerasa), Umm Qais (Gadara), and Petra (Sela/Edom), but the most recently excavated and important spot is at ―Bethany beyond the Jordan‖, where John the Baptist preached and baptized Jesus Christ among others, near a place also associated with the Prophet Elijah’s ascension to heaven. His Holiness Pope John Paul II said mass at this site in the year 2000, and five other sites, the Amman Citadel, Anjara, Mt Neo, Tell Mar Elias and Mukawer, were named as millennium pilgrimage sites. Jordan is full of early Christian era and Byzantine churches, including what maybe the world’s oldest purpose-built churches in Aqaba and near the Syrian border.
