    RECRIUTMENT It is the process of finding and attracting

    capable applicants for employment. The

    process beings when new recruits aresought and end when the applications aresubmitted. The result is a pool of applicants

    from which new employees are selected.

    SELECTION Recruitment function helps the

    organization to develop a pool ofprospective human resources. So it

    becomes difficult for an hr manager toemploy the people out of pool. So selectiontechniques help in reducing thesecomplexities and in choosing the rightcandidate for the job. Selection had becomeone of the important tasks in the HRDEPARTMENT.

    INDUSTRY PROFILE INDIA is the largest producer of milk and milk related

    products in the world.

    On an average INDIA produces 110 million tonnes ofmilk every day.

    It accounts for 13% ofworlds total production.

    It is the worlds largest consumer of dairy products,

    consuming almost 100% of its own milk production.

    Per capita milk availability growing at only 1.5% p.a.

    Ghee (clarified butter) consumption growing at 9% Table Butter & cheese consumption growing at 10%

    COMPANY PROFILE Andhra Pradesh Dairy Development Co-

    operative was formed on 2-4-1974 as a stategovernment undertaking for the commercialprinciple with a mission of industrializing rural

    dairying and extensive infrastructure wasdeveloped to procure milk from nook and cornerof the state with main objective of generating

    greater employment opportunities to the ruralpeople where they are based. At present it runswith 54 dairy units in operation with 7 milkproduct factories, 38 milk chilling and cooling

    plants apart from dairy units.

    NEED FOR THE STUDY Human Resources are the most important asset of

    any organization and that success of thatorganization depends on work force with right

    skills and abilities. It wants multi-foldimprovement in human resources with anobjective of marching ahead in getting higherproduction and income in comparison to others.

    So different Recruitment and Selection processare to be held. So under this requirement thepresent study has been undertaken.

    preferred in the organization for recruiting theemployees.

    79% of the respondents are satisfied with theOrganization Selection procedure.

    Print media is the source by which 68% of therespondents knew about the job vacancies in Vijayadairy.
