Firstly, teacher explains the stages of butterfly on manila cards and after that, picks out some phrases from the stage. Then, teacher asks pupils to write the phrases on the manila card. Last but not least, teacher gives them worksheet to tests their understanding. Content Standard: 3,2 By the end of 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to write using appropriate language form and style for a range of purposes. Lesson Summary:

In this lesson, teacher will teach pupils about butterflies’ life cycle. Firstly, teacher explains the stages of butterfly on manila cards and after that, picks out some phrases from the stage. Then, teacher asks pupils to write the phrases on the manila card. Last but not least, teacher gives them worksheet to tests their understanding.

1) Pupils listen to teacher’s explanation and may ask questions.

1) Teacher shows and pastes the stages of the butterflies’ life cycle one by one.2) Then, teacher picks out some phrase cards from the stages.

Teacher prepares manila card for each stage of butterflies’ life cycle.

PRACTICE STAGE 15 minutes

1) All pupils will be divided into groups and each group will get a stage of the butterflies.2) They have to fill in the blank of the stage on the manila card based on the picture they got. 3) One pupil only can write once.

1) Teacher distributes picture of butterflies’ stages to each group. 2) Teacher controls the activity in the class.

Pictures of stages Teacher arranges the pupils so that the class do not make noise.

PRODUCTION STAGE20 minutes

1) Individually, pupils have to complete the worksheet given by teacher.2) The answer will be discussed at the end of the lesson.
