Archaeological Survey of India illuminates 100 Monuments in Tri-color to
celebrate the landmark achievement of 100 crore vaccinations
• The Archaeological Survey of India of
Ministry of Culture is illuminating 100
Monuments in Tri-color across the country as
India achieved the landmark milestone of
administrating 100 crore COVID vaccinations
in one of the World’s largest and fastest
vaccination drive. The illumination is taking
place as a mark of respect and gratitude to
corona warriors who have contributed
relentlessly in the fight against covid
pandemic.
• The 100 monuments being lit up in Tri-color include UNESCO World Heritage Sites - the Red Fort,
Humayun’s Tomb and QutbMinar in Delhi, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri in Uttar Pradesh, Konark Temple
in Odisha, MamallapuramRath temples in Tamil Nadu, St Francis of Assisi Church in Goa, Khajuraho, the
forts of Chittor and Kumbhalgarh in Rajasthan, the excavated ruins of the ancient Nalanda University in
Bihar and Dholavira (recently accorded world heritage status) in Gujarat.
Launch of NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission Digi-Book
Innovations for You Sector in Focus – Health Care
• NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) has
launched – “Innovations for You” an attempt to showcase
the success stories of Atal Innovation Mission’s Startups in
different domains.
• The book is a compilation of 45health tech
startups, incubated at Atal Incubation Centres spread
across the country. These startups are leveraging frontier
technologies such as AI, IoT, ICT and others to provide
socially relevant solutions to problems likeAnemia,
Malaria, dental care, mental health, neonatal and child care and monitoring human vitals, among others.

AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV RUN FROM GWALIOR TO NEW DELHI
• As a part of “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV”, a tri-
service run was organised by Headquarters
Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS). The run
commenced from Maharani Laxmibai
Smarak, Gwalior with seven members that included
two women officers.
• On 21 Oct 21, the last leg of run to Delhi was
flagged off by Rear Admiral Manish Sharma
Assistant Chief of Integrated Defence Staff HQ IDS
from Air Force Station Faridabad.
• The run culminated at National War Memorial, New Delhi
Tamil Nadu FibreNet Corp signs agreement for BharatNet project
implementation
• Tamil Nadu FibreNet Corporation Ltd accepts
the agreement for the implementation of
BharatNet Project in Tamil Nadu.
• BharatNet, the world’s largest rural broadband
project, is to provide broadband connectivity to
all the 2.5 lakhs gram panchayats across India.
• The project covers Gram Panchayat through
optical fibre cable with high-speed bandwidth
connectivity with a minimum of 100 Mbps
speed.
• Bharat Broadband Network Limited was created to implement the National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN)
project.The entire project is being funded by Universal service Obligation Fund (USOF).

Haryana launches Swasth Haryana mobile app
• Haryana launched "Swasth Haryana" mobile app to provide people relief from long queues at civil hospitals.
• Patients can register themselves at any civil hospital and three medical colleges of the State for healthcare facilities through mobile App
• The App contains information on the nearest blood bank
Madhya Pradesh announces Implementation of "Mukhyamantri Ration Aapke Dwar Yojana"
• Madhya Pradesh has announced the
implementation of the scheme ‘'Mukhyamantri
Ration Apke Dwar Yojana‘’.
• Under this scheme, ration will be provided at
the doorstep of the villagers where there are
no Fair Price Shops
• The government will provide a subsidy of INR
4981 crore under Griha Jyoti Yojana and INR
15,722 crore subsidy will be given for the
agricultural sector consumers.

Global Food Security Index 2021
• The 10th edition of the Global Food Security Index (GFSI) 2021 of 113 countries was released
• The index is designed and constructed by Economist Impact and is sponsored by Corteva Agriscience.
• It is premised upon 58 indicators with four overarching categories viz. Affordability; Availability; Quality and Safety; and Natural Resources and Resilience.
• Among the 4 categories, India ranked 80th in Affordability; 29th in Availability; 74th in Quality and Safety; and 40th in Natural Resources and Resilience.
• In the region of Asia Pacific, Japan scored 1st rank with overall score of 79.3 which is followed by Singapore (77.4), and New Zealand (76.8).
• India ranked 14th under Asia Pacific.
