Location: Located in both Ngoc Thanh and Cao Minh of Phuc Yen Town, Vinh Phuc Province about 50 kilometers to the North of Hanoi, Vietnam.

Area: 525hectares water surface surrounding hills, forests with total area of approximately is 30 square kilometers.

Characteristics: - Dai Lai Lake is an artificial lake.- Climate here is quite stable, cooler in Summer and warmer in Winter compared to Hanoi.

The lake was started digging in 1959 for the purpose of collecting water for agriculture irrigation.

The function of Dai Lai lake is prevented and discharged the flood for the entire region.

In 1964 the forest was planted in here.In 1987, the lake was designed into a region and international tourist area.Currently the lake area and tourist resort with numerous green hotels, restaurants, amusement parks around the lake.

OVERVIEW

Dai Lai is a famous natural tourism area in the North of Vietnam. It is blessed natural gifts of charming landscapes, fresh air and cool weather around year in addition to diversify terrain and ecosystem. Dai Lai attracts tourists by its wild beauty. Tourists can enjoy the water surface that is like a mirror reflecting off the clouds and blue sky. The network of lakes, mountains and forests allow Dai Lai to have many natural beauty as well as international entertainment, sport activities and many other things will help you having amazing weekend.

DESTINATIONS

In the North of Dai Lai Lake visitors can see Tam Dao Mountain which are very high and further green vast forests. In three sides of the lake surface, there is Lizard Mountain which is followed by stable dams forming the wall keeping water. Lizard Mountain is named after its shape which imitates 2 lizards huddling with their heads together.

.Lizard Mountain.The legend said that the 2 giant lizards fought over a precious stone where Ngoc Thanh Village stands nowadays. They were transformed into a mountain as punishment for losing the pearl. Visitors can soak themselves in the clean green water of the lake in the early mornings, before climbing up Lizard Mountain to enjoy the panoramic view of Hanoi's area in the glow of dawn.

The Pearl Island (also called Bird Island) - the beautiful island located in the middle of Dai Lai Lake is a bird sanctuary and an evergreen island. Since early years, many flocks of mysterious birds have flied to and gathered many and many in this island. That is a strong proof of pure air in natural environment here. Every afternoon, the white storks blearily fly shading on the lake surface, the birds sing beautifully, and the sound of the pine forests rustling in the breeze, that natural show will be very attractive call for the guests to come here.With a fresh environment, temperate climate, the Pearl Island becomes a unique destination resort for tourism. From this island, tourists can have a chance to admire the wonderful nature scenery on the blue vast lake and the grandeur mountain ranges in the distance. Nature in there exists as cultural value and precious resource that is suitable with ecological principles construct architecture in the immense scenery.

The blue color of the deep lake rounded by green color of the forests and the high mountains as well as cool winds blowing from three sides of the lake surface brings to visitors the peaceful and pleasant feelings which are rarely found in bustling cities.

Linh Thong Pagoda

Now the monks here rename it Linh Thong to express the deep faith. With a monumental scale, an area of about 1000 square meters, more than 5 billion investments include: Pagoda, the Father’s House and the Mother ’ s House with an ancient architecture preserving the traditional beauty of Vietnam ’s pagoda culture. The temple will be a highlight for the entire project, anyone coming here can be satisfied the spiritual travel needs, finding the traditional culture of nation.

In the middle of the island, it is formed Linh Thong Pagoda. This Pagoda is on the background of an ancient temple called Thong Temple in the past.

Hung Hai Hotel is considered as "Pink Lotus" of Dai Lai Lake belongs to this eco-tourism area.The hotel was built on the bank of the lake which makes a cool and fresh air. This is the ethnic architectural style but it is full of charming and impressive.
