A Note From The LTG:Emiko KaneokaHello Rhinos! Welcome back to the school year! I hope that you have enjoyed your first few weeks of school! I know that the new school year can be extremely hectic, so be sure to start strong by staying organized and on top of your tasks. As fall comes around, Key Club will also begin to become more hectic with As fall comes around, Key Club will also begin to become more hectic with RTC, dues collection, Fall Rally, and various other service projects. During this crazy time, please do not lose sight of what Key Club is really about--service! Also, please remember to keep up effective communication with your officers and LTG so that this busy season can go by as smoothly as possible! While the next few months will be busy, they will also be filled with amazing While the next few months will be busy, they will also be filled with amazing opportunities! Carpe diem, Rhinos! Seize the day, no matter how busy you may be! I challenge you to make time for a service project at least once a week during the fall. These projects will serve as a well deserved break from all the home-work and other extracurriculars that I am sure you are juggling. I truly BEElieve that you will succeed during this busy season, Rhinos! Charge into service and the new school year with all of your might! Please remember that I am here for you! Emiko Kaneoka | Lieutenant Governor "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." - Walt Disney Hi! I'm Emiko, and I attend Brea Olinda High School in Brea, California. Before I was elected to be Lt. Governor of D30N, I served as treasurer and then president of my home club. Outside of school, I have been a member of the Whittier Chapter of Outside of school, I have been a member of the Whittier Chapter of National Charity League since 7th grade, and my mom was the president of our chapter this past year. Passion for service runs in the family! I am a hula dancer and a Hawaiian girl at heart (my grandparents were born and raised there), but I am 100% Japanese. I love to travel for the sake of eating good food—something that I acquired from my Dad. I am a creature of habit, and I tend to be nervous when meeting new I am a creature of habit, and I tend to be nervous when meeting new people. Despite my occasional shyness, I love screaming on roller coast-ers. My happy place is Disneyland, and I wouldn’t mind being there every day.

Emjay Layco | Executive Assistant "Anchora Imparo -- I am still learning." And learning I am...to be the best Executive Assistant I can possibly be for you! Salutations, Division 30 North. My name is Emjay Layco and I am a senior at Brea Olinda High School. My plans for the 2014-2015 term is to be as helpful as I can be My plans for the 2014-2015 term is to be as helpful as I can be to all you amazing purple rhinos. Looking forward to a great year of service with my ohana!

Likes: good food, good music, good company, & tennis. I especially love giving back to the community and cheering my heart out with my fellow Key Clubbers. Dislikes: eating pickles, mushrooms, or liver.

Serena Mann | Executive Assistant “First, think: Second, believe. Third, dream. And finally, dare.” -Walt Disney I’m your executive assistant, Serena Mann! This is my I’m your executive assistant, Serena Mann! This is my second term as executive assistant and I’m always ready to charge into service. I will always be here and there to lend a hand, because “you got a friend in me.” Also, since everyone in 30 North is a part of our Ohana and that means no one gets left behind. Cheesiness aside, I'm always here to help and give it my all. However, let apologize in advance for my sass, that’s just who I am.sass, that’s just who I am.

Likes: Sleeping & history, food, rhinos, Key Club, Kiwanis family, Psych, library book smell, & purple nail polish.Dislikes: Sleeping in history.

Vanessa Hwu | Division Secretary "I stand by all the misstatements that I've made." -Dan Quayle Hi! I'm Vanessa Hwu and I'm your division secretary! I'm a senior at Troy and this is my fourth year in Key Club. I take meeting minutes and try to make them look pretty so I take meeting minutes and try to make them look pretty so people, ya know, will actually read it. Well let's be honest, no one reads my minutes so holla.

Sara Hoover | Division Tech Editor “Stand up for what is right, even if you're standing alone!” Hey guys! My name is Sara Hoover. I'm 16 years old and a junior at El Dorado. Along with being Eldo's Club Editor, I am also the Division Tech Editor for D30N! I serve you by creating and maintaining our division's website, along with improving the communication within our division! Kat Lee | Division News Editor “If there’s something you don’t understand, learn to understand it.”-Zoe Hanji Hello-hello! I am Kat Lee and I am your division news editor. I write newsletters for you all to read and I try my very best to make them look pretty and nice and well organized just for you all! I’m currently a senior at Troy and this is my third year being part of CNH, I’m currently a senior at Troy and this is my third year being part of CNH, but my forth year in Key Club! I was in the Texas-Oklahoma District my freshman year and I loved every second of it! Don’t be afraid to come up to me and say hello! I’m full of spirit and love for Key Club. Let;s make this a wonderful year of stomping into ser-vice! MEEERRRRR! (That’s the noise a rhino makes. I’m serious, YouTube it.)

Likes: Playing guitar and bass, doodling 24/7, cute boys, selfies, my rhino onesie, kawaii things, Marvel movies, Disney movies, pizza, boba, tea, smiling, stickers, & anything that glows in the dark.Dislikes: When people don’t reply to me on Snapchat, SATs, peanut butter, & bad first impressions.

DCM Recap July

On July 26th Division 30 North and the rest of Region 3 went on down to Huntington Beach for our annual Beach Boomba! Our rhinos had an amazing time of bonding, games, pieing LTGs, and cleaning up the

beach. There were many new and old face but nonetheless all our members had a

great time!great time!

On the 16th of August the D30 Family reunited for a joint DCM at Downtown Disney for an exciting Scavenger Hunt. Our Rhinos had fun running around with suns and doing silly things around the venue slightly disturbing guests but with good intentions and good fun. This DCM really brought our division 30 north rhinos closer to the 30 south suns. Our shirts came in for those who pre-ordered! Don’t Our shirts came in for those who pre-ordered! Hello My Lovely Rhinos!

Although September means the start of school, it also means more

excitement and spirit for Club Rushes and Fall Rally!! Just don’t forget your

responsibilities of not only dues, but your homework!! School is important!

I am so excited to celebrate this new beginning with all of you! Be ex I am so excited to celebrate this new beginning with all of you! Be ex-

cited for Fall Rally and crazy amazing new events and most of all SER-

VICE! I love going out to volunteer and learn new things from other clubs,
