The pipe handling system shall handle tubulars in connection with drilling operation.

5.3 Equipment/Schematic

The system should consist of the following main items:

• Pipehandling system in the derrick incl. fingerboard. • Iron roughneck. • Pipe handling system on the pipe deck. • Casing stabbing basket. • Casing tong (may be combined w/iron roughneck). • Catheads. • Rig tongs. • Mousehole(s).

North Sea environmental conditions shall apply.

5.7 Operational Requirements

The iron roughneck shall be able to perform mousehole connections.

The pipe handling system shall, by remote operation, handle tubulars within the pipe rack, from pipe rack to drill floor and within the drillfloor/derrick area.

It shall be possible to build stands in a safe and efficient manner while drilling. The building of stands shall not hinder the possibility of breaking the drill string in rotary.
