This custom concept and layout was created to reflect

the “working” idea of the project. As new ideas emerged,

photographs taken, news released and shows announced,

items were added to fill up the space. Push pins, paperclips,

crumpled paper, memos, stickers, ticket stubs and Polaroids

all contribute to the cohesion of the theme.

project suMMary

stone cold reality (SCR) was a project founded

by talented musicians and entrepreneurs from

the greater Nashville area to tour and film a

pilot episode for a reality television concept.

The tour had several dates over the summer of

2009 in Tennessee, Florida, Missouri, Arkansas,

and other locations throughout the southeast.

Performances, interviews, and behind-the-scenes

footage were all filmed to be pitched to several

major cable networks.

During my involvement with SCR, I completed

a wide range of design projects from print

promotional materials (stickers, banners, flyers,

postcards) to digital media (custom MySpace

layout and other marketing collateral) as well as

assisted in the execution of the official launch

party in Tampa Bay, FL. We successfully organized

over 10 events while also securing sponsorships,

endorsements and donations from over several

groups including SESAC & Breedlove Guitars.

SCR artists then hired me on an individual basis

to create branding materials.

softened the image

while also allowing the

texture of the paper to

shine through.

MusIcIan MarketIng

This promotional piece was

created for an interview with

Warner Brothers Record

Label in Nashville, TN. The

purpose of this composition

was to show the marketability

of the artist to radio and the

general public. Five songs

selected by the artist went

on a pitch CD to accompany

the booklet, and each

2-page spread discussed

the life of the artist and the

demographic to which each

song would best appeal. A

brief analysis of the market

as well as quotes from fans

and notable members of the

industry were included as

supporting materials.

Fatkat creatIve solutIons

After arriving in Nashville and working with several

artists and musicians on their internet marketing

materials, freelance projects evolved into a start-

up company, FatKat Creative Solutions. This was

the logo and the main image on the promotional

MySpace page. My mission: “Jobs pay the bills -

let’s make passions pay off.”

A customized MySpace page for drummer Shawn

(Tribal) Hughes, whose signature performances

feature flaming drumsticks. A clean but visually

appealing format was used for the remainder of

the page to keep focus on the important part:

the music. Custom flames created in Photoshop.

nIcole wItt

While Nicole Witt’s songs and powerhouse voice

speak for themselves, the goal with this page was

to develop branding that captured the artist’s

true identity. Feminine details of floral patterns

and antique picture frames throughout the site

were combined with an edgier background to

portray the different aspects of both Nicole and

her music.

The header for this web page was conceptualized

by a desire to show the variety of colors, textures

and patterns that define Chelsea’s handmade

purses. While many other mediums of her art

are showcased on the site, the focus was meant

to remain on the launch of her handbag line. Tag

line reads “wear a statement on your shoulder.”

Code manipulation of this minimalist layout

achieved a focus on the artist’s portfolio and

resume. A custom banner featuring a sample of

artwork brings visual interest and cohesion to

the web page’s theme, while not distracting the

viewer from other work on the site pages.

The montage on this web banner showcases the

artist’s ability to capture the soul of her subjects

through their eyes. Moss Point Studio is located

on a bluff overlooking the artist’s favorite

landscape: the ocean. This soft teal reflects

the studio’s environmental surroundings and

compliments the hues throughout the portfolio.
