1 Epson Printer Service on Site

1.1 Support Plates for Epson Models SC T3000-T5000-T7000

The printer is mounted on moveable support plates.

The plates have centre bolts to assure an accurate

positioning in X direction (print head movement

direction).

The plates can be pushed forwards and backwards

after releasing the locking screws on both sides..

On each side the printer is secured with a locking

screw.

1.2 Take Off the Bottom Printer for Service

First, unplug the USB, Ethernet and power cable.

Partially loose the two screws on each side.

Don’t take the bolts off completely.

Take off the bolt which secures the printer to the

plate completely.

Move the printer on both sides slightly backwards

Use the handle to pull on the left side.

Use the handle to pull on the right side.

Unplug USB cable from camera and the power

cable from the LED.

Disconnected USB and power cable.

Now lift off the printer from the frame.

1.3 Mount the Bottom Printer after Service

If the bottom printer has been taken off the frame for

servicing, then remount it afterwards back on the

two shifting plates.

Each plates has a centre bolt which assure the

system its accuracy.

Mount the Epson printer on the centre bolt.

Position the back printer so that the distance

between the profile edge and the printer support

plate is 285 mm.

Tighten all bolts from the support plate and lock the

printer with its locking bolt.

Reconnect the USB, Ethernet and power cable.

Reconnect the USB camera cable and the power

connector to the LED light.

1.4 Take Off the Top Printer for Service

Read the chapter before “1.2 Take off the Bottom

Printer for Service”.

The procedure is the same:

- Unplug USB, Ethernet and power cable at

the printer side

- Unplug the LED power and the USB cable

from the camera

- Below the printer, take off both lock bolts

which are fixing the printer to the support

plates

- Take the printer from the frame

1.5 Mount the Top Printer after Service

Read the chapter before “1.3 Mount the Bottom

Printer after Service”. There is no additional work to

do.

2 Printer is Replaced with a New Printer

If an existing printer needs to be replaced with a

new printer due to technical problem, follow the

procedure described in the coming chapters .

2.1 Bottom Printer is Replaced

Step 1

Follow step by step the procedure from chapter “1.2

Take Off the Bottom Printer for Service”.

Step 2

Remove the paper feed system by taking off the two

bolts as shown:

Use an alen key to remove the bolt on the

right and on the left side

Left side bolt.

Below the two screws are distance holders (black

cubes with a hole).

Take them out of the notch and put them with the

tow bolts aside.

Step 3

Take off the three paper jam protectors.

Use an alen key to loosen the two bolts in the front

row. Don’t take them out completely.

After slightly loosen them, the protector can be

shifted out of its position.

2.2 Top Printer is Replaced

Follow step by step the procedure from chapter “1.4

Take Off the Top Printer for Service”.

There are no additional steps to do.
